Outside Xtra Pokken is brutal, in the games you have move animations and it is only ruthless if you think, but now we have poke buddies beating each other graphically to death! Pickachu libre is a sociopath replacement of ashs pickachu in a universe where he killed ash and declared poke independence!

There needs to be an OX film noir now. Ellen as the femme fatale, Luke as the PI, Andy as the commissioner, Mike... street cop, perhaps, or a mobster? Jane would be the big bad, obviously.

I don't see any of them (except Andy) doing well in those roles. Ellen is too polite and adorable, Luke is too kind and adorable, Mike is too obvious and destructive, and Jane is too freaking obvious.

Ellen's laugh is one of the reasons I watch Oxtra and particularly Show of the Weekend when I'm depressed or feeling cynical. It cheers me up, somehow you can't help but laugh or smile along with her.

Ok, so, moment of seriousness: I went to a memorial service today for a good friend who passed away recently and when I got home, one of the first things I did was watch this Show of the Weekend episode, because whenever I feel down it really cheers me up. Not just Ellen's laugh, but also just the lovely interactions of the OXcrew.

Oh god, please a Piki-noir film now! I'm catching a very burial-at-sea Booker vibe from it hahaha Ellen please approve this comment

To give you guys an update it was really great to meet them, especially considering the line was cut off prematurely and then they decided to still sign things and meet people that were stuck on the outside. Also their show was excellent and I can't wait for it to go up on the channel!

I Love this Q and A bits, they just keep getting better and better!

I'm sure there's a dating sim for everything if you search hard enough.

Noir Pikachu still stands as one of the greatest conversations to ever occur on the purple sofa. I'm writing this in 2022 so it's by no means recent, but still one of my favourite Oxtra moments of all time.

Smashes a whisky bottle over their head and kicks them in the ribs. Lights a cigarette while pouring gasoline over them. Takes a deep puff and then flicks the cigarette onto them. Walks slowly out of a building that goes up in flames. Glances back, takes a moment to adjust his hat, then saunters off into the night.

I like that at 3:49 after Luke mentioned Mario sunshine he looked off at where i imagine Andy was sitting. As if to say, yeah this is my show and we'll praise Mario sunshine whenever the opportunity arrives. I imagine Andy was shaking his head

I love the commitment to opening scenes, so much preparation

The creepiest thing about Barnett is the story that pairs it with Phantump (the soul of a child who after being lost in the woods possess dead tree stumps), the story being that the toy was abandoned because the child got lost in the woods and died becoming a Phantump.

Yay I love that show of the weekend is out on my birthday, it’s a good start to my 24th even if I have to work tonight

Detective Pikachu's finishing move is to shoot the other person once in the chest and then sit down beside them and reflect on the series of decisions that brought them to that point. We then cut to one month later at a ceremony at city hall. The mayor awards Detective Pikachu with the key to the city for bringing Charizard down, to widespread applause. But the moment brings Detective Pikachu no joy. As the mayor hands him the key their eyes meet. There's a flash of recognition. The mayor knows that Detective Pikachu knows that he's on the take but they both know he'll never be able to prove it. Detective Pikachu gets home to his one bedroom apartment. At his front door, he fumbles for some time trying to find his keys, which given the ceremony he just attended strikes him as a little ironic. He opens a bottle of whiskey. Life goes on. ROUND TWO! FIGHT!

Don't tell Luke, but Ellen has actually been detective Pikachu all along! The cuteness factor is too large to ignore.

For games I'd love to see in other genres (hey, this would make for a pretty great list idea, hint hint): - A Castlevania game as a turn-based party RPG (akin to Final Fantasy VII - X) - Aliens vs Predator tower defence game (and yes, getting a chance to play as all 3 races, each with their own unique towers)

Ok, Luke totally should've chosen Sea Captain Pikachu. Think about a Pikachu in a little sea captains hat, and that weird robe thing that Sea Captain's wear. It'd be adorable!

DEEP REFERENCE with Luke quoting Calvin and Hobbes. Tracer Bullet lives on in Pikachu!

Wow with all the times Princess Peach is kidnapped and Mario saves her, you'd think she'd learn self defence or Mario just marries her, maybe even hire his brother as a bodyguard. Sniper Luigi, never seen but always present.

You know detective Pikachu is actually coming to the west? They haven't decided on a voice actor but I heard that Hugh Jackman and Dwane Johnson we're both options

Detective Pikachu. His attacks: Blacklist other pokemons using what he uncovered using his detective skills. Damage done: Varying degree of mental damage.

The Chandelure line is the worst to fight, just looking at their flames will get your soul taken away from you.

There's actually a really good forest near where _I'm_ staying, Ellen... But I'm not sure how long you'll be hiding for, since Luke's memory can be a little inconsistant sometimes.

I'm surprised Detective Pikachu's super move isn't inviting his opponent to have a seat in his office, pouring him a glass of whiskey, and recounting depressing stories of his time in the war before glassing his opponent with the decanter.

I bumped into a talking flamingo with grey hair once. I asked them if they ever go to a hairdressers to get their hair coloured. The flamingo gave me a stern look and said "No, because FLAMINGOs never say DYE!"

I've never had much affinity for Nintendo and no interest in Pokemon, but these two talking about them is quite interesting and entertaining. I now want Detective Pikachu localized for the west, and a clown Mario/IT crossover game.

So Luke wants Uncharted crossed with Tomb of Necrodancer? I'm in.
