It helps that 47 can be shot multiple times and keep going. I wonder if there'd be a place for game play where 47 takes the same kind of damages he deals...it would probably make stealth the only option, which might not always be everyone's cup of coffee. Same goes for Sam Fischer. Great games.

For once, I think Robert Knox's assumption of "sending a message" was quite reasonable. I don't see a different reason for 47 to trick him into killing his own daughter, if he was going to kill him next. It's risky and hardly efficent, compared to other options, and I also think it's out-of-character for 47. 47 is ruthless, but he is not cruel. He doesn't get kicks from making people miserable, unless it furthers his goals, or its required via contract. I think this option is more for us, the players, who enjoy doing horrible, horrible things in games, as well as finding out all the possibilities.

After that, the World of Assassination trilogy awaits.

They're the newest of a franchise that started decades ago and I'd personally tell folks to skip cutscenes if they wanna jump straight in rather than saying they'll be confused but the story doesn't matter, that's really a massive disservice to the writers tying all the plot threads together the way they have.

Both are right up there for me because I feel these two alone are the best examples of just how effective Agent 47 is at basically sowing dread into his targets when he doesn't hide.
