I get it, everyone loves Kojima. But think about it this way. In a world without mgs, Kojima makes Death Stranding, would be laughed out of the industry, his creative skills are just objectively bad. It's not abstract, it's dumb. Sam Porter Bridges works for Bridges. It's like my toddler's attempts to put things together narrative-wise. If he thinks the film industry will go easy on him, sheesh.

Kojima is also a man of a lot of hurt. He's for sure not completely sane (and by that i mean he probably has depression, or some sort of manic disorder). He's been through quite a bit and as far as i know he's single. But loves his mom dearly. Perhaps she's the inspiration for some of his strong female characters

If you read the comment more carefully you'll find that the claim is that A) most people don't understand quantum mechanics and B) Kojima has a similar incomprehension of women. No-one aside from Kojima is being accused of not relating to women.

If I'm not mistaken, Kojima is married right? I remember one of the senarios between Jack and Rose in MGS2 was influenced by a real life scenario between him and his wife where his kid went to his office. At the time, they were visualising levels using Legos and his child told his wife, "Daddy spends all day playing with Legos." Can't remember where I read that though, I think it's in the MG wiki.

“No Judge, I’ve learned nothing. Can I leave prison though, I’m thinking yes.” Is the most Dob thing Luke has ever said.

There was singing and yet somehow, Andy didn't run in to show off his incredible vocal range.

Mario Sunshine is a pretty good game, it just suffers from being a follow-up to Mario 64, and not being the leap forward that game was.

I think Ellen was very proud of herself too, given the length of the look to camera afterwards.

"Lets literally fill the sky with ordinance." Funnily enough, this was actual tactic used against bombing runs. The aim was to force the bombers off course so they had to drop their bombs off target or risk running out of fuel.

Well, also Flak cannons fired shells that were more like shrapnel grenades than a conventional explosive. It usually didn't hit something important... usually. Also they were using hand cranks to aim so actually hitting the target was functionally impossible. But they could totally pepper it with shrapnel. WW2 era targeting systems were kinda slow.

Sign as "Spoon" if they don't know your name. If they do and it's Jason Chain you sign as John Cleese, or if actually Michelle O'Connor sign as Michaela D'Orleans. As long as your handwriting's atrocious they can't tell you didn't sign your own name. Signing as "Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger" is not recommended, though. You might get cramp.

There isn't a more climactic moment than when you're about to fight the Alien Queen and the adrenaline rushing through your blood makes you exit from the game accidentally. I'm sure it has happened to everyone here, Luke. Don't feel bad.

Can I just say that the absolutely perfectly timed high five after the game audio at 5:20 is one of the most satisfying things I have ever experienced. I can't stop watching it. Thank you for this gift :)

The Loopmaster was a weapons delivery platform designed by the Soviets in 1912 in order to be a weapon which could possibly maybe perhaps surpass Metal Gear, in theory.

Major Schaefer’s mechanical arm changes side depending on which direction you walk. It’s infuriating but, given what the rest of the game is like, I’m also like “of course”.

Same happens in original DOOM and DOOM II. By just having five sprites and reflecting them in software to get the other three, they reduced the memory requirement for all the images of the various enemies. I think Daggerfall got ambitious enough to use the full set of eight, but they were still flat sprites, so they looked kinda weird from above or below and of course they got the Scorpion side-views the wrong way round because Bethesda.

OH MY JOY!!! As one of your older fans, I actually remember growing up in arcades and putting all my money in Alien vs Predator arcade. It wasn't the best AvP game (that's AvP 2, for PC), but it was still loads of fun. By the way, that Major Schaefer in the game? THAT'S DUTCH! That's right, you were non-canonically playing as Arnie's character! Congratulations!

yeah the bio card in the game says Dutch lost his arm fighting alien threats sometime between the start of the game and the end of "Predator". It doesn't really say why the new character Kurosawa is a cyborg, but it stands to reason she got "upgraded" for the same reason as the Bionic Woman.(multiple crippling injuries).

Luke and Ellen's duet of the Death Stranding song/Snakeeater is too darn good! Love Luke's lyrics and Ellen's performance! 👏👏👏

Well, to be fair to that bee, Ellen does have a very small fist.

Ellen has the voice of an angel.

The end of that tank fight with the sound of the explosion and then their clapping fit together so perfectly and it was amazing.

For a minute I thought I’d clicked on a Retro Replay video. Then wondered why Troy Baker was so short.

The cherry on top would've been if those predators said "come with me If you want to live"

This is what I'm here for: the barely controlled chaos of Ellen and Luke joyously button mashing totally "canonical" Alien Vs Predator arcade game. Learning how to play a game through sheer force of will (and console smashing) is a lost art form.

I was trying to figure out what the P in P. Hunter stood for and the first thing that came to mind was Phil. Which, honestly, is what they should have called the movie in the first place.
