Their 1. Series are my new favourites. Sold my ltd 1000s, which all had issues, currently own two Solar 1.7s, and don't look back

First, thank you for honest review of this guitar, I planning to get one myself, and you helped a lot bro. Second thing is your playing and melody that is right on spot for my ears, great music man and thank you for Aurora preset 😁🤘 I thought I am the only one who love Aurora plugins, but I do and Aurora Rhino and Mr.Hector are badass plugins. Great video, great work man....thank you....👍🤘💪🍻

Awesome tone and playing. Really tight without sounding thin. I have been subscribed but saw this video on Facebook and was amazed at the sound quality. Usually on Facebook, the compression ruins the sound quality but your video sounded good... do you mind sharing some tips on the video output settings?

Hey! Thanks for your kind words ! The rhytm guitar sound is created using a 3 tracks of Rhino with the preset from the link i gave on the description - one full left, one full right and one on the center backed up a lot just to bump the frequencies which were lost by hard panning another two. Guitar bus track is EQ'ed to make a space for the really distorted bass track in the mix - the bass track is Ermin Hamidovic school of blending 3 track with hard compression and EQ - extremally distroted sound of high-passed Parallax/ low passed Pure DI which is making all the sub frequencies boomy/ and hig passed overdriven sound of Aurora Mammoth. This bass bus tracks got a notch around 70HZ to make space in the mix for the sub kick of the GGD invasion - my kick drum is playign in those frequencies so here was the trick to make it all blend in. So the trick to get a good sound of guitar was having a good sound of anything else :) And it's still not perfect ! It's an endless process haha

I still have the A1.8 and it's sick for all the techy wee-woo-wee-woo and occasional dżyn-dżyn but as I get older I use it less and less. The Evertune for an 8-string behemoth is a real blessing. Definitely a fantastic spec for a guitar like this (and probably outside of Kiesel custom shop the only really high-end one). Still a great guitar but I can't justify owning it and rarely using it. Just in case - don't need the Rhino 😬 I've fallen in love with Neural Amp Modeler and I probably won't need another ampsim any time soon lol

I have a Solar S2.6FWA from a few years back, it absolutely rips. I set it up in C Standard for those low chugzz. It's a Neck Thru and my lord is it comfy to play. Used it love once too and she did me pretty perfectly. I've been recommending Solars to aton of people since I got it

​@@Cultifact Do the glossy spots stick out on the white matte finish just as bad as they tend to stick out on a black matte finish? It seems like that problem would be much worse with a black matte finish ...or maybe I've just managed to convince myself that this would be the case since I'm really tempted to track down one of these sick-@$$ guitars for myself now.😅

I've been eyeing up Solars for a while. May just have to take the plunge, if I can ever afford a new piece of equipment 😂

I own two and I can safely say their workhorses and well made.

Solar seems to make solid stuff. I wish they had better distribution in the US

Thanks for the comment man! I think that distribution is the weakest point of this brand - it's a young company (still) and I think that sooner or later they'll have to invest in distribution net and artist relation because right now everything rely on Ola fame

You already know I got a V2.6LH and it rules, had it for just about two years now and never had a problem with staying in tune thankfully

Yours is hell of beast myke ! This is one of the reason I wanted to get mine as well !

All of the Solar guitars I have tried are really nice quality...but the new Solar X 1.6FRVinter is perfect! Fishman Pickups, a Floyd and absolutely striking looks for gigging out?!...total bullseye!

Hello there.. Unfortunately I never had any Solar guitar, but if I had a chance to pick one, it would surely be S1.6 HLB. There's nothing bad in this guitar. From specs to performance I think it's one of the best models Solar made so far.

I just got an A1.6ROP+ to replace my old BC Rich Warlock Platinum and I really like it. I took me a second to figure out the Evertune and tuning, but now I have it down, it's pretty easy. I am still on the fence about the pick ups. I think they are fine, but I might swap them with EMGs in the future... but I am going to sit with them for while more, maybe play with some different tunings to see how they react. The fret access is amazing on the A series. The X styles look sick though, they dropped a white one with Fluence Moderns in them the day after my purchase and I was like "well, shit..." For the specs you get, I think they are solid guitars that look metal as fuck!

Thanks for the comment Nicky - I gonna be fully honest that I NEVER EVER had an oppuortunity to play on evertunes... this is like the best solution for the recording/studio work and still I did not tried it :( I really need to borrow one somewhere and try for myself but I'm scared that I will fall in love haha. Pickup swapping game is a dangerous path - I'm not sure if there was any case where I said " wow this pickups are bad" - as far as I remember each of pickups I tried are........ different....... and equally cool :D

I don't have positive things to say about solar. The paint job is one of the most catchy thing in the brand but the hardware could be better for the price tags. The finish are a bit bad. For the same proce you can get shecter

After quite some time I got mixed feelings myself and to be honest I already sold that one. The biggest pro was the price I paid for it :)

I had TWO Solars and they BOTH were riddled with problems. Cracking fretboards, Peeling logos, HORRIBLE fret job, fret sprout. You name it, these turds had those issues, no help from Solar customer service either. I'd rather give up guitar completely than ever spend another penny on a Solar. Some people have good experiences but there are just as many people with issues as well. It's like playing the lotto.....will I get a good or bad guitar? No one knows.

Thanks for your comment! This is a really useful and valuable feedback. My thoughts about that company is that it might be a typical overhyped products with a lot effort put into managing bad publicity via internet. After I post this video and contacted them about it via email I was kinda let down that on the official Solar group my video had to be moderated (1week of waiting) before being posted (which got me thinking) and on the parallel way - company itself replayed via email "wishining me many views" - which was kinda ambiguous. It took me a lot of effort to put that video together and I honestly felt that because of fact that it's not "wow you need to buy this immidietally bes guitars ever" kind of review - no one at Solar was even remotly interested in helping me spread the video - in opposite to Ibanez.

Yes - probably made in the same manufactury in Indonesia as all other brands :D Within the price of the used one it's a good choice / brand new - worth considering.

If it's so great guitar, then why are you selling it?

I'm currently selling half of my guitars to fund sport trackbike build. Strict financial reason connected to my other hobby. After recording that video I contacted Solar Guitars but they were not interested in further spreading the video anywhere and at this point I'm not cooperating with companies which don't care. Im not earning ANYTHING from YT so I got the comfort of choosing which companies I would like to work with - even though im extremally small ytber. Same applies to HKettner, Sterling, Music Man and Jackson. I don't see the point in reviewing products of companies which don't care about their users.
