    Have owned many high end usa and Japanese guitars...but the imports are so good I'm mostly just buying those now. They aren't as conistsent, but when you get a good one, there is no really drawbacks and sometimes I even prefer a cheaper guitar. My LTD JM-II is one of the best guitars I've ever owned at any price. I had this exact E-II model and I almost loved it. However, the top carve really dug into my arm when playing while standing. I did like the thicker neck, though.

    Yeah when you get a good LTD it's a REALLY good one. I have a couple others too, one I'm thinking about doing a video for. My MH1000 is basically flawless. I didn't really have the forearm problem on the horizon but eh different body types. I bought three of these E-II's (long story) and they all felt great

    Amazing video. I greatly appreciated the detailed walkthrough during the comparison, as that's what I look for in one, especially as you state the subtleties which won't be found by just comparing specs online. In my experience, I've never had/tried a Korean guitar which has had perfect binding. Yes, it's being nit-picky, but you're the first person I've seen actually inspect it and discuss it. Interesting about the side dots though. Thanks

    @@TwistedIdentity I have never been a fan of ibanez. Schecter I like because my favourite band plays them. Last schecter I had was a Blackjack ATX c-1 fr and I never could gel with it. Great comparison, sick guitars! Pretty sure that E-II has nickel frets though. ESP announced that all E-II models will have SS frets from 2024 and on. Only a few models had SS frets prior to that. Sick guitar nevertheless!

    ltd h3 is my main guitar i've bought it 4 years ago and its just awesome ,new series come with steel frets but mine is nickle frets I've tested E II version when i wanted to buy it and in my opinion it was not same guitar neck was fatter guitar was heavier frets were nickle silver not worth 2000$ more in that time even now I think LTD H3 with steel frets are more worthy

    I hear ya, many people don't like that thicker neck on some ESP's and LTDs. I like em both, the older E-II also has a gloss neck vs the satin on mine. I tried both the older and newer ones, satin def felt better in my hand but I can't remember if the contour was the same. Thanks for watching! :)

    bro thank you so much for this video. finally someone compares the two. I had no idea that e-ii started doing SS frets for their older models as well, love that shit. I've been eyeing this model for like 3 years but never pulled the trigger just because of the nickel frets. Now the only thing stopping me is the pickup rings. Hate em. my hand always gets caught on em like yours. btw I dont think you mentioned the leveling of the e-ii frets. I'm assuming the leveling is perfect with 0 high frets but wanna make sure. Also how is the action of the first fret high e?

  • @TwistedIdentity

    I really appreciate your effort, but how do you think the audience can hear the difference in the sound when you use a camera sort of microphone and your acoustic string sound is more prominent than the actual driven distorted sound? You should really mic up the cabinet if you want to anyone to judge the sound difference or just use DI out with some IRs

  • @TwistedIdentity

    @TwistedIdentity

    22 күн бұрын

    @@elektrar9620 the reason why I did that is because I wanted to give an idea about how things sound in the room, when things are close miced it can sound pretty artificial even if it isn't, though next time I'm thinking I might actually blend the camera audio with a close mic. The next review I do I'll be experimenting with that
