Yes, DCT. The car is just too damn fun! So nice to put it into Eco mode and just cruise when you gotta go somewhere with the fam. Hit that N button when you want to get down and have a little fun. Such a great car all the way around Hyundai knocked it out of the park with this one.
I don't have it anymore, but I used to have a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T w/ the dual clutch, and I was blow away with how fast it shifted. I imagine it's even tighter in this; must feel great! Thanks for the review!
Very good review providing your driving impressions. This helps me feel like I made a good choice as I have a deal on one all set on paper. I am waiting for the car to arrive. It was built but is in transit- first it was supposed to be here by July 19th, then got pushed back to August 2nd and today the salesman checked the computer while I was there and it now says August 5th. Good things take time. I have never driven one but the one coming in is white with the DCT. I saw the same car on display at the Hyundai booth at the Watkins Glen TCR race (Michelin Pilot Challenge) at the end of June. I kidded the Hyundai rep, a nice girl that I would buy the car on the spot if she could sell it to me. She said she wasn't allowed to do that. Turns out the local dealer had a white one coming in when I got back home from the race. (The Hyundai Elantra of Mark Wilkins and Robert Wickins won!) I wanted white as I live in Florida and I think it's a good color if I add some graphics and do a window tint. Also going to change out the wheels. All the reviews I see say the DCT is awesome, even though I like to shift my own. And you do have the paddles and the manual shift option with it. Keep the videos coming. Oh, I did get MSRP but had to buy a package of add ons that essentially was like getting the car for $1600. over MSRP. That's good in today's market where other dealers around me are getting $4,000. over.
Over in Australia it's called the i30 Sedan N and I just got mine. Safe to say I'm in love and am very pleased to see that for you having it 5000+ miles in, you are still enjoying the car! 😍 This is fantastic as I'm hoping to have this car for a long time and eventually switch it up for a newer N model in the future. Thanks for the video and I look forward to more of your Elantra N content. I'll have some of my i30 Sedan N content up soon. 🥳

Great video!
Glad to hear the trunk fits golf clubs, that was one worry I had about it when considering it for a new car.
Nice Review , I got mine booked a month ago in DCT after test driving manual . Dealership is like dead each time i ask for tentative delivery date . It's like i have asked for their kidney lol . This wait is killing me man . I loved every bit of that test drive even though it was manual . I'm so desperate that i have offered dealership with 3 choice of colors . Just give me that vehicle ASAP 😂

Yes, I can't wait to get mine!! I put $1000 down to place a hold on one in transit. At least where I am located it is very hard to find a black DCT but I did here locally...it was a magical moment when it popped up on their site. @@jimj785 hey man! My winter setup will use 245/45R19 Michelin X-ICE tires on the stock wheels. A bit more sidewall than the stock PS4S, but also not as wide so I shouldn't have any rubbing at all. If you can, grab the PS4A/S - proven reliability year-round. Great review! I’m very close to getting an EN. Deposit is down on it, but I have still never even sat in one let alone driven one. Your update really has me pumped up now! I currently have a ‘21 Accord 2.0T Sport, which is a great car and with a tune as fast as the EN, but I absolutely hate the seats. Totally despise them. The seats in the EN look incredible and as long as I fit in them I’ll buy the car. Fingers crossed!

Nice! Accord Sport is another great comp, kinda meant to mention tbh just forgot lol. The seats are awesome. I’m 5’8” 235lbs and like I said, they definitely were tight at first and took some working in, but I think you’ll be okay. I was also 30 lbs heavier when I got the car lol.
@n-power-automotive

@@cyber.e.n yeah man the Accord is awesome other than the seats. I planned on doing a bunch of stuff to it, so I figure the N would already have a lot of the things on it that I’d install anyway, like exhaust, rear splitter, etc. And no one yet I’ve heard has found an exhaust that sounds good, so that’s really enticing with how good the N sounds. I weigh a little less than you, 220lbs, but I’m a lot taller at 6’3”, so legroom is the other faction, but all the specs I see say the N has an identical amount of legroom as the Accord. I should find out in the next 1-2 weeks. I will go in knowing the seats should break in a little though. I know they’re way more bolstered than the Accords. I’m fine with that, it’s more the material/foam that will tell if it’s going to be comfortable enough for me. But I can’t wait to finally sit in one and test drive it!

I currently have a 2018 Infiniti Q50 Luxe AWD and I like it overall, but I have a daily 115 mile commute and I simply don’t want to keep up with the cost of luxury maintenance so I’ve been trying to look at cars in this segment. Something that will be significantly cheaper, yet still fun. I have an oddly specific question for anyone who could answer it. I haven’t been able to actually drive one of these yet, so I’m curious about the seats. I’m wondering if the bottom portion of the seat is angled up to an extreme degree? I had a 2016 Ford Focus ST with the full leather recaros and the upward angle was extremely unforgiving.
I have a 2020 elantra sport with full exhaust work, no tune yet, I only make around 230 to the wheels, waiting on a sxth tune
Interesting comments about the paint. Is it worth getting some kind of ceramic coating or paint protection? I’ve heard only bits and pieces in reviews about the paint. I’d hate to not be able to wash my car.
@cyber.e.n

I would say so. My paint isn’t terrible, yet. The paint is just soft. You have to be very careful when washing, and it’s prone to easily get rock chips.
