    I m gonna buy this bike as a second bike,the reason is I’m 68 I need a lower seat and a lighter bike to handle,I will use it for back roads to the cafe and around town,it’s cheap to buy and run and the army mate green looks real cool,my bmw r80/7 is for longer trips in nice weather,so thanks for the run down on it.

    I just wanted to thank for making this video. It REALLY helped me out. In the moment I'am standing in front of a desicion, of which bike I'am going to buy and I thougt of buying a Brixton and you're video gave me exactly the Information I was looking for, like the Seat hight, because I'am around 1.86 meters tall and did not know if it would fit, but you're measurements gave me convidence. So thank you for making this really helpful content, keep it up and I will probably buy a Brixton (BX 125 R). So thank you, thumbs up for you're video.

    Good evening my young friend! great video! I had seen the Brixton almost by chance at the Salon de l'Auto at the beginning of the year (I am introverted, I hate this kind of place, but I have a daughter who needed a car). I found this model really cool in it's military green, I do not even remember seeing another bike at all. I went to see it by hasard passing near the Brussels seller tonight. So, I'm doing now some research, it gave me, finally, the want to have one :) and it looks like our bikes of the years "70-80. So I'm happy to have come across your very informative channel on this topic. I have not had a motorcycle for over 10 years (after 2 accidents in 6 months while I had not had a single one for more than 30 years), I'm just looking for a little cheap cool one to avoid traffic jams, for always less thant 10km trips, without really impacting the family budget. The rest of my deplacement are made by car, sorry Greta, I dare ;) Yet, I've already thought about how to make room in my garage meanwhile. The saleswoman told me that the engine was an engine originally designed by Suzuki, a pattend 'resold' (I kept my last Suzuki 20 years, our friends from the land of the rising sun master unquestionably technologies). Do you have any information on this? I also measure 1.85m and I even have a few extra kilos of good food and wine in excess, but not more than 10 to my bmi, the guy you mentioned is he comfortable on it finally? laws of physics really matter.. When I was young, small engines (including my cb 125) had a kind of reestriction/limitation at the entrance of the exhaust pot that limited the flow of gas out; it was easy to remove it or widen it with a drill, to gain a little punch, a few rpm, a few km/h and to avoid this phenomenon of 'saturation' at high rpm: does the Brixton have such a limitation systerm do you know/think? I would probably never take it to the highway, but, if in case, it can do the trick for 1 or 2 'sorties' around the RO around Brussels do you think? And, in any case, good luck with your youtube channel, my young friend, and I'm happy for you that the Brixton brought you a number of new followers like me. And since I am also a '°papa', I hope that you will be able to get a substantial benefit for you and those you love with this channel. peace.

    I am happy that you find the videos informative . I am also planning to go to the car salon next year but only for the motorbikes I usually go to work with it, so I have to do about 30 km. and the brixton is good for that, but only on a normal road no highway. the information you have received is correct. the engine is from suzuki I am 1m80 and I feel perfect on it. of course if you compare it to a larger motorcycle, it feels a bit small. but it feels and looks like a full-fledged motorcycle. this weekend I will make a video about the exhaust. and there will also be a video about the flow of the exhaust. I have already discovered a few things about the exhaust. 1 the heat wrap must be present. I would recommend replacing it with a better one myself. 2 there is no narrowing in the entrance to the exhaust 3 the open exhaust is good, but a few adjustments have to be made. that's what the next video is about. if you have any questions you can always ask them. I will always reply as quickly and honestly as possible. I wish you many safe trips. and thanks for supporting the channel. hopefully you will enjoy your time here

    hey man, great video! I'm a 1.63m (5'3) female looking for a light beginner bike which could ideally also be used offroad. I was thinking about something like a small version of the royal Enfield Himalayan, or else Yamaha SR 500. Do you think the brixton could be suitable for me (&be able to touch the ground with both feet)? Also, I'm very open for bike recommendations from more experienced guys if you know of anything that fits short riders

  • @semke88

    @semke88

    omg a female viewer . I think you are the first one . just kidding . let me answered your question . first a question what are you looking for because the yamaha you give as an example is a 500 cc motorcycle and the brixton is only a 125 cc motorcycle . you should not be afraid of your height. my mother now rides the motorbike and she is about the same length . going off road with the brixton is possible. but the suspension is very bassic from the brixton. a dirt road will still work, but a road with pits and bumps may not be so pleasant . yamaha is a very good brand for off road motorcycles. if i were you i would go for a 250 cc minimum. the more experience you will get. then the brixton may be a bit too weak especially for off road use. I hope you find my answer helpful

I'm also willing to pay more for better quality if i find one i feel comfortable on (i tried sitting on the royal himalayan and wasnt able to touch the ground).

    Hi ! I'd like to thank you for making this video. I hope you see this, but I'm thinking of buying it this summer but here's this thing: I live in a mountaineous region so there's a lot of up and downhill streets and passes; how does it perform uphill ? if i'm honest i wouldn't buy a brixton if it were for riding in the mountains with a passenger. the brixton doesn't really have the power for that. i will give an example why i think that. I once went riding with someone who had a faster engine. we drove on a road where you can drive 90 km / h. I drove 90 and suddenly a strong wind came up and my speed dropped to 70km / h. this was on a flat road so I don't think with 2 people driving up a mountain it will be very pleasant

    You could try how bad it is for you on a brixton cromwell. The felsberg and cromwell are basically the same bike, even down to the measurements. The only number that's different is front seat height. The Felsberg comes in at ~800mm front seat height while the Cromwell only has 770mm. It's only a 3cm difference but maybe that's enough for you.

    Yes also there is are nice bags shown on the official brixton Website, but i would recommend a flexible net you can put over the back of the Seat (i.e. availeble on Amazon)

    Wow . That sounds like a great journey. I wish I could do this too. From a technical perspective I feel like the bike should perform nice. But it would be safe if you got some mechanical insight. So you can spot if something is going wrong. I don’t know your mechanical background. Also this is not a super comfortable bike . Riding 1 hour is okay. 1:30 hour you will feel it in your butt . 2 hours you will definitely need to step off. Maybe upgrade the springs to make it more comfortable. You can do it on the brixton . Take a lot of brakes , know the workings of the bike and upgrade the springs. I wish you good luck and safe travels.

    It all depends on how you ride. Fast acceleration and high speeds will make the fuel consumption higher. I ride 300km and then I fill the bike up again. Of coarse there are people that keep on riding until the tank is empty and the bike stops because they run out of fuel. That are the smarter people who are good at math
