If you’re worried about the camera getting wet, why not invest in a GoPro or Osmo Action as a backup/second cam? They can handle the rain, and the Osmo can even be completely submersed without the need for a clear plastic dice box thing

Its never too early for a coffee, especially if its wet cold and windy out side and you need to move and get going. If you can, park nose into the wind and you wont shake and rattle so much.

Hi Adriana and Dylan, If you do decide to go to Europe... just an idea about the ferry... you should check out the ferry port at NEWHAVEN (near Brighton) and get the ferry to DIEPPE. The company IS DFDS and its dead easy to book online. I use them at least once a year (with car) and pay around 50.00 gbp each way. The crossing takes 4 hours. Newhaven port is never really that busy and they are so friendly. Once in Dieppe you have easy access to all the motorways to get to anywhere. Happy and safe travels wherever you go.. Gareth ❤

Just up the road from me, done that hike many a time, that was my cycle ride every Sunday morning from Pontypridd, up to the storey arms where you stopped , have a bacon roll and hot chocolate and back home 🤣🤣hopefully avoiding rain 🤣🤣🤣keep it up guys 👍

We had a similar experience. It was raining so we decided to just go for a drive .We headed west. After a half hour the rain had stopped, and the sun came out. When we arrived at Loch Lomond it was a beautiful sunny day and we had a wonderful walk. Didn't even check the forecast. It came out alright. The photography is stunning in you video, and this is a most beautiful place dear to my heart, after two overnight wildcamps. Keep up the good work, and to hell with the weather, just live your life to the full every day , this is your big chance!

Beautiful shots at the end there 👍 .....the British summer has been shocking this year...a few weeks of sun in May and June and then what's felt like permanent rain since...still bucketing it down now on the 5th of August!... Had van trips planned for Shropshire, Wales and Northumberland....all put on hold until the weather picks up in late August and September (🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞) ... definitely stay in Wales btw...you can always head south in winter 👍😎

It really has been shocking this year!! Fingers are solidly crossed that we have a few more days of sunshine before the summer is over! We agree, we will stay in Wales and hope for brighter days soon - in the meantime we will load up with warm clothes and waterproofs 😂

I'm travelling from North wales to south Wales on the 13th in my LT35 also called Elton. We are starting near Swansea like you are and travelling around the coast exactly the same route for around a week. I believe there's a heatwave coming on the 12th. So I'm hoping the week we are there is going to be amazing ! I say stick around before going Europe and catch the nice weather here first 👌

I vote for Portugal!

Definitely stay in the UK over the summer, you want to be in southern Europe in January and February when it is cold dark and wet here. You also have to watch your time in the EU, I think maybe max 3 months in any 6 months period if uk citizen. The weather is unusually wet this year, hopefully end of August and September will be sunny and warm.

I know you'll end up in Europe at some point AND i know you've only just got the van but for your next chapter you could trade in the van for a 4x4 and travel Africa, Its strongly suggested to attend a few lectures on how to travel Africa. Travelling Africa takes about 9 months. My friend attended the lectures, bought a Land-Rover and took his wife for a dream trip around Africa. Would love to see you guys do this. Whatever you do it'll be cool

Yes it is hotter in other countries, it also because of climate change there are big fires in Spain and Italy and Rome, I think also Canada, because I follow one woman and her cat we are due to have a bad weather that is coming from America the tail end of something seventy miles an hour winds so be careful stay safe 👍
