    JD Powers indicates that RV sells for "low retail" of $37,000 and "average retail" of $44,800. Right now the RV market is in steep decline. Many people bought them during Covid, now they don't like paying for registration/insurance/storage, and they're dumping them into the used market. Two big RV manufacturers just went under, and many dealerships are closing.

    The bed is an RV Queen. No, you can't lay up there above the cab and drive. The law requires you be seated with a seat belt on. "If the camper's rockin', don't be knockin'". The black thing on the roof over the bed isn't an A/C. It's a Superfan. You can replace it with a second A/C, which I recommend. If you go anywhere over 80 degrees outside, you'll want a second A/C. You've got the power to run two, even off grid with that generator. BTW, I live full time in a 44' Class A diesel pusher. Feel free to ask me anything, if you decide to keep it.

    Absolutely. I've heard of full-timers that come back to find their pet in serious trouble from a failed AC unit, so a backup is critical if you plan to use it for longer than a night or two on the road.

    In many states you need to have an RV inspected and get a certificate of occupancy before you can sell one , also regular car dealers can't sell them in many states.

  • @curtiscrump7153
    @curtiscrump71536 ай бұрын

    The RV market is glutted/awash with used inventory, so there are decent deals to be had. You can make a lot of money re-selling RVs if you are smart about it, since people looking for one don't want to drive all over the state to look at them/want a proper inspection done/etc. Unlike buying cars here it's mixed, it's usually worse to by a RV from an individual versus a dealer.

    @@STORMZ8 We haven't seen one since 2014 and the businesses we've acquired in the last 10 years have been out of Chevys for a while too! Closest we came is Newmar was using Spartan Chassis on some of their class "A" gasoline units but I'm not sure what they're using for power as the GM 8.1 has been out of production for a while. To clarify we still get Mercedes and Ram Provan cutaways and Transits. I thought we were done with Econoline based units, they were off the Ford website and hadn't seen any for a while. I take some vacation and when I get back there's 200 of them on the ground. Heck the Winnebago dealer in Forest City Iowa (home of Winnebago) used to be a Chevrolet/Winnebago dealer until about 6-8 years ago when they built a new Winnebago only building across the street from their Chevrolet dealer then sold their Chevy Dealership to the Ford Dealer from the county to the south moving forward as a Winnebago only point. They do well for folks that don't want a lot of delivery miles on their new unit and have done some concierge parts service, meaning if the factory has a part they'll have Winnebago put it in Will-Call, pick it up and get it out with next day air service. The city I live in has two businesses that build truck bodies and also sell complete service and refuse trucks. The joke is one of the problems with our little city is as soon as a vacant lot becomes available some one buys it and fills it full of new light and medium duty truck chassis waiting for their bodies.

    I was reminded by this video about a question I had. You say this motorhome has low mileage at 63,000 miles and I notice you have called several cars with 100,000+ miles low mileage. Around here the long time used car lots with good reputations for top customer service used to make a big point of advertising that none of the cars on their lot had more than 50,000 miles. And CarMax used to label some cars "ValueMax" if they had more than 100,000 miles or were more than 10 years old, but they no longer sell those. What is your ideal car to have in your inventory based on mileage and age and why?

You’ll learn a lesson and go to work for a dealer again and make your hundred thousand dollars a year and not worry about anything, that’s where you belong GM will never give you a dealership you’re not capable of running so both your houses take all your money you still don’t have enough money to buy a dealership and at this point look at them all over the country they’re hurting big time and until the credit situation improves, the interest improves you’re out of business so few people can afford to buy a car.
