35 series have one of the BEST jobs for transferring into civilian life with not only job experience but also with the clearance level that comes with the job. This shouldn’t even be a question

They literally pay you to have top secret clearance and you can work for things like CIA or FBI afterwards.

I worked with a dude at my last armed security job that lied about being in M.I. Couldn't even give the basic description of what they do. Could not even say his Mos or number. Good to know and thanks for the info. Now I know for a fact my ex co worker is full of crap. Lied about being in Camp Pendleton as well.

Yeah lol I know. A actual marine that worked the same store that's giving me tips for the Asvab testing and boot camp called B.S as well. He started asking him questions he should of know since he's been to all 3 marine bases here in South California. Pretty sad and disgusting some people lie about serving.

If you go MI you better do a language test (DLAB) because some other types of MI Intel Analyst will drive a truck and go to the field depending on the unit you get assigned to. Sitting at a desk is many times a supply clerk job more than Intel Analyst.

I got a different take on it personally... if you really don’t have a preference and both are what you want to do then look up what mos are over and under strength. Because once you pick one that is under strength good fucking luck trying to switch without it being an application mos. that’s why I’d suggest picking the overstrength/normal strength mos 1st, then if you want to switch you can into a different one.

So as someone who went airborne infantry and is now out, im looking at re joining as a 35 series bc fun fact: 0 transferable skills other than like a security guard (which is fair honestly lol). I imagine artillery is in a similar boat. 35 series MOSs outside the military seem like they are making easily over 80k a year. I've got a buddy in my family that was a 35F and is now making GOOD money. However, he said if he would have done it again he would have picked a more specialized intel MOS bc those guys make more money on the outside

As a 13A (who's just finishing up BOLC) I can give you a little advice about 13D's. It's a highly technical job that definitely requires a good amount of intelligence. Yes it is combat arms but it doesn't seem nearly as combat oriented as 13B's and definitely less than 13F's. As a 13D you're not gonna be shooting howitzers or lifting rounds or anything. That being said 13D's are critical to FA. Without them 13B's wouldn't be able to shoot and 13F's wouldn't get any of the fires they ask for. Hope this helps

I'm a 13b and I would suggest like he said if you wanna be out in the field a lot then yea go for a 13d their always with us 13bs in the field minus the heavy lifting and stuff that all us bravos do as a 13 delta you'll be dealing with a lot of communications shit but just like he said it comes down to the field or the office and yes 13 deltas do deal with computers and communications shit but don't quote me on this but they don't do the grunt work as I would call it of lifting heavy stuff and toting heavy rounds back and forth and lifting the howitzer and my mos is kind of fast paced I wouldn't say like really high speed but it is kinda fast past cause they want those howitzers set up quickly and packed up quickly in the field artillery world it's all about shooting moving and comunicating when we're in the field we never stay in one spot hardly ever if we do it's rare just my advice from experience and my short 2 and a half years of being in

@@aaronjackson2052 It's fantastic, you won't be disappointed. There's so many different duty stations and opportunities as a 35N compared to some other different intel disciplines. Job prospects on the outside are also great if you want to continue intelligence work as a contractor or government employee after the military. I wouldn't choose another MOS even if I had the choice to go back and pick again.
