Absolutely 7wt and 8wt s . Its important to get those fish in fast and get them back . Fish can be overworked , some species can have a overdose of chemistry in their bodies and die. I have been fortunate to have learned from old-school mentors. On such topics. Nice video footage and information. 👍

I believe it is a 5-6wt Samson liquid force

Try a Black and Gold Rooster Tail, I caught 25 there one day using them, first time fishing there too 👍🏽

Yep, size 5, picked a few up at the Rez store when I got my permit. Had a fish within 5 casts of tying it on, hooking fish every 5-10 casts. I went to Reno to get married March 24, 1998. Wife said we could go to Pyramid Lake for 1 day of Honeymoon. What a blast! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Have any tips for casting a single handed 8 weight with indicator set up?

Try to get consistent with roll casting. or if you are going to cast try not to make a lot of false casts with the indicator. A ladder will help too if you have long leaders too.

What sized tippet were you using? Thanks!
