I'm amazed at how well you pronounced her name. xD As a Pole I'm very proud of Karolina. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for sharing this great and historic game! It's very interesting to note the disparity between Japanese masters and high level players from around the world -- and always of special interest to see non-Japanese players on the long road to catching up. I think shogi is an amazing game with much to offer players of all nationalities -- and just needs a push to overcome the cultural/linguistic barrier. Thanks for doing so much to bring it to us.

Thank you for the good clear game commentary. I'm a beginner with just a few dozen games of experience, but you helped me understand the purpose and implications of many moves I would not have understood otherwise! A very interesting enjoyable video.

I don't know whether or not Karolina plays chess, but I guess that the good bishop+rook+pawns attack might be somehow influenced by chess. Many ranging pieces tactics (like forks or pins) are very similar, but I find it difficult to use the generals well. That would also explain why she would exchange the bishops even though her opponent could simply drop it in the same place. Even if you know the drop rule, it's still against a chess player's instincts to think that a captured piece can simply

As always: great thanks for your encouraged work in spreading shogi!!! No problem you aren't using my software. ;-) Still it's a little bit sad, that there is waste so much space around the board. This time I watched the video on my TV and so it was a little bit too small. Maybe next time using 81Dojo, recording only the board part and enlarge it to fullscreen?

I used 81Dojo only for this game. I will use BCM from my next video again.

I have had an idea for a series for you. The viewer comment with a full set of moves from a game they played and you point out what they could have done better. Because I'm terrible and i have no chance of getting better if no one will tell me what I am doing wrong. I'll message you a game i played in case you get this message

Another great commentary, though i must say your random changing between notation as number-number and number-letter distracted me more than once during the video
