So soldiers, knights, lancers, and silver General aka commander must promote to a Gold General aka Warrior

That is such a vivid description of embarrassment. "Habu turned completely pale. He looked up at the ceiling. He felt his blood was flowing backwards." Wow, poetic, bars

Gold 5h is literally one of the first moves I saw, although I thought, ‘If Habu is attacking then it must be more flashy than this obvious gold defense.’ Well, I must remember that a defense is also a kind of offense. If you defend properly and have the initiative with a decent number of pieces in hand from his attack, you ought to be winning. So yes, the obvious gold /must/ necessarily be the move that strikes like the calm before a storm. It’s a porcupine move; Gote’s hand rushed too quickly for the attack and now has 1000 needles of Sente’s initiative stuck in it.

Hey Hidetchi, About 3 years ago i stumbled on to these video just browsing youtube and watched for fun. I watched the whole series and challenged myself to learn katakana, which i did. I found it quite fun and decided to try and learn hiragana which i ended up learning as well. And now 3 years later i am studying japanese every single day, and enjoy very much. So i just wanted to thank you for getting me started on my japanese learning journey! ありがとうございます!
