I am a 34 year old man, and today, I've learned that there are only two shoes that I like the look of - Half Cabs, and Lightning McQueen Crocs.

The Last Resorts look like the shoes Michael Jackson wore when he busted out the moonwalk on TV for the first time. Hard af.

It was a group effort with my two teenagers.

The older I get the more madness I get with anything, shoes, clothes, skateboards, etc…. constantly searching for anything to make me feel good so I skate better. Which doesn’t work at all 😂

Honestly I was pretty sad when you anounced you were gonna quit KZread. I love to see you back infront of the camera doing what you like and not changing your content to appeal to a wider audience. I love the look and feel of last resorts, but when it comes down to it blazers are still my all time favorite skate shoe for looks and function. They last a long time, they look great with baggy pants, and I really appreciate having some ankle protection.

@@bendegros well, my feet got wider after an ankle break and i cant seem te get my foot into blazers nymore i get the difference in feel ,but the bulk on the vulc strip in the toe wears off.. i need the padding and room ,more then i need the boardfeel. the more you skate them ,the better they get

such a sweet video. i have 3 pairs of skate shoes and they're all very different and i really like skating in all of them bc they are so different. one pair of vulcs and two pairs of cupsoles, lightest cupsole weighs less than half as the vulcs..and they are my favorite but i've gotten some bruised arches landing primo in them. even though the vulcs are heavy they feel really good and flick really well

Those Etnies raps skate really well, but after seeing some of the older colorways like dark green suede with black sole/laces and the old Etnies star logo I really hope they start making colorways like that. Also for me the Etnies snake skates super well and feels very comfortable to skate in, just switched the white laces to black and made the last lace loop be extra secure and the extra room in the toe made feeling the board easier.

The old skate shoe brand supra had the best skate shoe boxes really strong build quality and it would slide out with a metal ring so you could pull it out and put back in thats what ive used for about 10 years or so now 🔥🔥

I realized those Vans Skate Sport shoes are just the perfect skateshoe for me. Just great overall with zero break in time and they fit my short, wide feet perfectly. Sadly it seems they stopped making the Skate model just as I found them! Having a bit of a shoe crisis because of that. I always find my favorite skate shoe just as they stop making them!

if you are looking for a good (IMO the best) Vulc shoe, get the busenitz vulc 2. Iam on my 9th pair and tried a lot of vulc shoes over the years. No break in time and they skate just great for me. Iam using customized insoles in them tho, to get a bit more impact protection out of a vulc shoe.

I gotta closet full of shoes I hoard, get lots when they’re on sale. My crisis is picking which ones to skate next haha

I have a pair of the Japan Pros that are leather and are white with black. I haven’t skated them yet, but I have been wearing them and they feel really nice. That’s the next pair of shoes that I’ll be wear testing.

I’m 33 been skating for 5months nonstop since my return, while it was mostly winter for you. Avoiding injuries is my favorite game to play. Lately when I land primo, I just end my sesh. Been having a lot of bad luck with my foot if I just keep going. I’m back foot heavy too so slamming down on a primo hurts one foot more than the other. The arch is also not very protected in most skate shoes, once you get a little lump in your arch you’ll be sorry when wondering if it’ll go away ever again. Unless I’m wearing some jordan 4’s SE. They have the only skatatable tread pattern on the outsole too. I’m really skating a pair of the new military blue and grey but I haven’t done certain tricks in them yet. No kickflips yet lol. I’m not skating af1’s but they’re also primo resistant. I also been skating sb dunks and if it’s a light primo, they’re fine. If I feel it, I might end the sesh. Otherwise it feels like I have an injury and blood has pooled on the site and it’s throbbing, aching, etc. The fascia of the foot is kinda sensitive and in general, like the arch, you don’t want to damage it by skating on a fresh injury.

New balances are great for wide flat footers i must say

i skate dunks, whenever i’m in a skinnier shoe i lose all my tricks. and they’re pretty readily available now

If you possibly can, try some of the old Ishod Dunks, they were amazing to skate. I was very sad when I had to retire my last pair.

last resorts have the best look down factor

i'm currently skating some etnies senix lows i got a couple years ago, they're basically a better rap. similar design/paneling to the rap but a bigger ollie area and slightly lower profile toe box, not as exaggerated as the accel slim. suede/leather and og rap sole, it's kind of reverse jordan colorway of the og mc raps with the black and red reversed. the 'black' might actually be a really dark navy but it's hard to tell. i had 2 pairs of the og mc raps in the jordan colorway in the late '90s i got on sale for about 30-35 each, ended up being one of my favorite skate shoes. i'm not a sneakerhead, i thought they were kinda ugly tbh, i thought they looked like clown shoes. but the loud/ugly colorways were always the clearance ones, and i don't really care what they look like as long as they're reasonably inexpensive, comfortable, durable, and skate well.

For a gen Z opinion loved the 2 pairs of half cabs and they haven’t aged in the pasted 32 years I skated I liked what you said the feel like pillow because I found them to be really comfortable but the sole split in the first pair and on the second pair still happened but I had flex seal I spray on the botten and they were fine

15:20 have you tried a shoe stretcher ? I’ve used them on a couple pair that had a similar issue and it helped a bit
