Honestly the beauty of Blackgaze is that extension of emotion beyond just that typical "grr satan let's burn churches and muh pagan shit" level. It allows for a wider expression of emotion and expression while still keeping that passion and drive that comes with black metal, presenting it as what it should be - soul crushing, cold, and black.

Yes, this is your masterpiece, I truly enjoyed it.
I never knew there was something like Blackgaze, and I have listened to Shoegaze for a very long time. Thank you for showing this to me!
I saw a 7 string on the wall... give us a “how to be korn” tutorial!
So beautiful. Blackgaze is my second fav beside DSBM.
You mentioned WITTR. I live basically around the corner so to speak from them. Cascadian Black Metal (it's what it's called) is a class of its own, not just musically. It's a lifestyle, it is a maturity that is often lacking in Scandinavian BM. Aaron Weaver, the Wolves drummer, is one of the most intelligent and awesome people you'll ever find in the music world. Years ago they ran their own organic farm, and I once contacted them via email to inquire about the farm (since I live nearby). He actually responded within a day or so, and was the kindest person you can imagine. My heart lit up when I heard you mention them. They are my own, personal all time favorite band in this genre. Here, where we live, the Pacific Northwest, we have 5 to 6 months of rain, fog, storm each year, usually from the end of October through April, most of the time. You drive through this weather, across the bridges here, through the fog, and play the Wolves in the car. That cannot be replicated. It is out of this world. A perfect marriage of this type of BM, the weather, the landscapes we have here, and the lore and mythical parts. You'd have to be here to experience it. And then have some awesome herbal tea afterwards, to warm up and stay healthy:))) Yes, indeed.
"it is Sad... but... True... ... AH NO!..!"
Yup, Blackened Death would be a dope tutorial
you are trully the most genuine music youtuber that i genuinely enjoy watching you are an amazing person in my book keep going with the good work bud

I've tried that it's awesome. It's a great feeling. I find it very relaxing I sometimes drink beer or a can of jack daniels and coke in the bath. While I clean myself Lol. Blackgaze is all about being free to do what the f*ck you want. That's proper Blackgaze right there. 😎🤘🎤🎸🥁🎻
Blackgaze is new for me, and I love it! Thank you!

Thanks for useful tips for blackgaze. Really helped me start looking for my own sound and make some music.
Say what you want but I've loved it since the 1st Alcest album. There is a recent shoegaze album that has to be heard by as many people as possible, if your Horizons are wide enough. It's by the guy's band who Neige collaborated with on the 4th Alcest album, Shelter. It's the self titled 'Slowdive' album by a reformed Slowdive from 2017. I bring you this information because maybe not a lot of black metal fans would have been a party to it and it is, kind of, the band's style/ formula distilled and, to me, as somebody who likes a lot of black metal, among a lot of other music, because I am old enough to have bought 'Blood, Fire, Death' when it first came out, the 'Slowdive' album, released about 25 years after the heyday of the genre, sounds like, probably, the ultimate example of the form. It is fucking amazing!
Came here after hearing "have a nice life - waiting for my black metal records to arrive in the mail" And got the itch to write some depressing shoegaze
Now.... Depressive Suicidal Blackened Noise
This was hilarious and informative. Well done.
A very beautiful song with beautiful melodies... I think that is one of my favorite blackmetal subgenre.. really atmospherique and beautiful. Pretty good video.. thanks for that masterpiece 🤩

Ahh yes, the beauty and melody of blackgaze is very dark yet uplifting.
"And if thats true, then that's trv." Best black metal joke I've heard.
this is actually beautiful, kinda went more in an early agalloch direction than i thought it would, but thats all good
@Farvann Man! Your song is very GOOD! I must say I was very doubtful about the success of your approach (I know: Who do I think I am? Excuse me for that) but it works so well! You really succeeded to make a black metal song which is very ‘contemplative’ (not sure about the adjective), WITHOUT being boring - I’m not a fan of all kinds of black metal, especially the low songs in some cases. I think the drum programming is particularly well, I like its variations a lot. Usually, during these types of tracks, I go right to something else. Not here. Bravo! P.S.: The video is very good too: the filters, the lights, the points of view, etc. It must have been a hard work. Well done.

Phantastisch! 😂 Toller Song, erinnert mich am Anfang an "The Burden" und das Video an "The Owl", jeweils von Sun of the Sleepless. Großartig!
