It's fantastic that the entire cast is basically completely fresh voices. The only VA that I can recognized via her name is Laura Post, and even then Nuwa sounds *nothing* like Kasumi. Which is incredible.

Jeannie Tirado played Female Byleth, Ben Lepley played Dedue, Mark Whitten was Seteth, Leslie in FF7R. Laura Post, as you stated, was Kasumi in P5R, Catherine in FETH, Daman Mills played Cherry Blossom in the Sk8 The Infinity dub (LOVE), Cissy Jones voiced Ami in CTR Nitro Fuelled, Sean Crisden seems to have done a lot of audiobooks in his career, too, Ashlyn Midge played Midge in Barbie: Life In The Dreamhouse Stuart Allen is best known for playing Damian Wayne in various Batman related projects.

For anyone wondering why this is a reupload, it's because the one earlier didn't have the names of English VA cast before. Now it's fix.

It looks like this trailer has the English VAs’ Names on the screen this time compared to the first trailer Nintendo showed us this morning. I’m happy they fixed it and we can see which characters each VA will be voicing. The VAs sounds great so far and I’m looking forward to seeing them in the game!

@@DeltathRiylaan crediting them is still important. Not just because they did their work, but many VAs love seeing how excited fans are to see them in these roles. The VAs get so excited to announce their roles, or to post after the roles are announced in a video like this.

I mean, no harm that it was added, I was just surprised by the hundreds of comments of people in a huge uproar over it and didn't understand why everyone was so upset!

@@DeltathRiylaan It's just nice to have a video from the official source showing the VAs pretty clearly. Unlike famous actors, VAs for games and animated movies tend to go more unrecognized, it's cool to see their names acknowledged in trailers.

Really good voice acting it seems. Not a surprise coming from Atlus at this point. Also happy to hear voices that aren't in every previous games from Altus because as good as certain voice actors were it was starting to get problematic to hear the same voices in every game.

This is the most anticipated game of the year in 2021. Shin Megami Tensei 5!!!! It's supposed to be released on November 11th, so it's hard to wait. The main character is like Inuyasha. Like Inuyasha, she has long long hair, a pretty boy, and uses a sword, which is like Inuyasha. The strongest of the very dark dark fantasy RPGs are Sekiro, Dark Souls 3, and Shin Megami Tensei 5. I am very much looking forward to it.

This looks like really good cinematography

i feel like the only reason the acting sounds a bit awkward is because each character has two or three different lines, taken from different scenes most likely, and put together in a collage with little space in between so it doesn't sound cohesive.

I really don't feel like it sounds awkward. A lot of voice acting in games sounds weird when taken out of context. You give a break to JP VA trailers because it's just another language so you don't even really pay attention xD It's objectively just as awkward sounding.

Why does Nintendo always have such interesting/unique games? Sure, Sony and Microsoft have some awesome games but I've never even heard of this in my life and I'm already intrigued after watching only a two minute video

There's a few other trailers out for this game if you are interested. This series is incredible and really really unique, with some really fun battle mechanics and amazing music. Definitely recommend if you enjoy JRPGs.

Shin Megami Tensei is quite a series, I grew to like it even more than Persona (a series that derivated from SMT), the games are pretty interesting and they always come up with unique stories, like the Digital Devil Saga branch, I'm sure you can also play any game from the series without needing to play other one before, which is good.

The Megami Tensei series is actually an old series, dating as far back as the NES. There have been side stories and spinoffs as well. The Persona series actually started off as a spinoff to this series.

I don’t think it’s a hot take to say Three Houses had one of the best voice acting performances in video game, or even media, history. Seriously, not one semi-important character was bad at all, and really made most VA’s recognized because of their job their. Ben Lepley, Joe Zeija, Laura Post, Ben Diskin, Jeannie Torado, Mark Whitten. I could go on lol. So excited to see this game

I think in terms of video games, dubbing is almost always better inherently since the lip-syncing is usually nonexistent anyway, allowing the VA’s to accurately say what the original lines were and in a smooth way. Besides this one is phenomenal haha

Funny since Pokemon was created as a soft and friendly version of Shin Megami Tensei ( Pokemon Red and Blue came 10 years after Megami Tensei and 4 after SMT I).

I started with Etrian Odyssey IV (had never even heard of ATLUS before then) and went through that series, branched out into SMTIV, and then when Persona Q was announced, I played P3P, P4G, and P5. Now I am at the point where I am a total ATLUS junkie, but SMT Nine is way before my foray into ATLUS games and I don't do XBox (although, admittedly, ATLUS could change that if they went in that direction).

@@yoso378 agreed. There's a bunch of different games and spinoffs (persona being the most popular) and from what I've played so far. (Devil survivor 1 and 2, Nocturne HD Remaster, Persona 1-5, and half of the first raidou) this series is amazing.

I don't understand how this game looks so good on Switch, even if it's not 60fps, and then there's Legends Arceus that looks muddy. I don't get it.

As a big fan of anime and surely I love to watch it in Japanese. I ALWAYS play the games on English (Which is also not my country's language), something about playing it on japanese just feels ... off? In anime u can feel the emotion on the original voices better (FOR SURE), tho recently I watched some animes in english dub which the VA's nailed the characters style so well too. Like FMA , BNH , ONE PUNCH? great english dubs examples. So again, I always prefer to play with english dub, Disgaea is a fair example where I truly believe that the English VA are better suited for the characters voice than the Original ones.

Out of this entire cast I recognize Jeannie Tirado, Mark Whitten, Ben Lepley, and Laura Post. 1. Jeannie really impresses me more and more with her range. This is same chick that gave us Android 21 (DB FighterZ), Fana (Black Clover), F!Byleth (FE Three Houses), and the Kouhai Red Blood Cell (Cells at Work!) 2. I knew Nuwa was Laura Post the moment I heard her voice. All I hear is Isabella & Ragyo Kiryuin.

I don't know any of those names... lol But the ENG voice overs actually sound really good.

i'm surprised they haven't added huge VAs like Johnny Yong Bosch or even Chris Sabat. either way the cast sounds amazing and while i dont know any of them, some of them i kinda recognize their voice.

I think Bosch might not be a great idea since he's kinda ingrained as Yu Narukami's voice, maybe they don't want too much Persona overlap in voices, maybe they feel that they dont need more well known actors

@@ItApproaches I have played Persona so I do have a little knowledge on mainline SMT, I know SMT is harder but that suits me fine as Persona isn't that difficult. I know fans tend to go rabid if you compare mainline SMT to Persona though as they are fairly different so I didn't mention it 😅

@@zoruasnivy Yeah, Persona is not comparable. Persona is light, colorful, waifu junk. SMT is dark, brutally hard, all about spitting in the faces of foes, killing Gods, slaughtering your friends, destroying reality and wiping out humanity so that you are all thats left. Persona is the family friendly game, SMT is selling your soul to bring chaos and suffering to all lol.
