First trick was a basic amatuer finger break force and second was gimmiked deck. Both tricks could be taught to a child in a matter of minutes.

Of course he knows it. “Magicians” know most of the basic tricks or have an understanding of how the person did it. He did say he learned it on set so obviously a lot of ppl know that trick.

Most of the people know it was a gimmicked coin solid on lower half and foldable paper in above which he folded while acting to eat it and unfolded when he blew air

At 1:02 you can see the folded card he puts in his mouth with the deck

So far this is the only time I’ve noticed Mr Lin move the cards in an obvious way….when stands up and turns he puts the cards in one pocket but removes another pack from his other pocket. I think…I could be wrong. He is amazing.

It doesn’t matter cuz he needed a fresh deck for the next trick, and he put it into his jacket pocket but pulled the queen of hearts from his pants pockets.. these kind of specials are either scripted with Ellen playing along

Riffle forced the Queen of Spades. Cull control the Queen of Spades to the bottom as he spread the deck down. Then a mercury fold as he does the “it’s not on the bottom and it’s not on the top”. He places the folded card in his mouth as he rolled up his sleeves. Flourish. Show tattoo. Then pulls the folded card from mouth. Incredibly smooth. Incredible performance.

It’s not random. He’s forcing the card to be chosen at the beginning when he runs his finger through the deck. Still impressive trick

Henry is so sweet.

An admirer of the great Shin Lim, very humble and talented personality. Have seen this trick so many times, but this is the video where it's revealed how it's done. Sleight of hands at it's finest, just the angle wasn't so good. At 0:48 you can see him folding the card, at 1:02 can see the folded card below the deck which he swallows next. Glad I could atleast understand one trick. Love from India Shin and Ellen.
