I have the model before the 2018 model and the 2018 model and just this moment i discovered the brand new model 2022. Im getting one. They will all be a c3000.

I'm on my second stella first one bought and returned second I received yesterday with both reels I was and currently am experiencing a knock on retrieval some call it a click feels more like a knock to me. @@fieshyfish having owned 3 small Stella's, an exist which melted in salt water, and a certate which up till now I liked the best. This reel is superior to all.of them, unless you are going for small fish in fresh water.

Stella’s design seems to be a little bit tougher and so I use that for medium to heavy saltwater game. For Exist, it should suits better for bass fishing and light game.

You dont have to buy a Stella since there are other mid price range reels that are good that have good quality too. The Twin Power, Exsence or the Vanquish are good examples or go the Daiwa route and get yourself a Certate or a Luvias Airity. Heck the Stradic FL reel if you know what you are doing is more than enough to last many seasons They say the Stella will last long but if you maintain your gear well then you think closely on what fish you are targetting and what style of fishing you will do. You dont really need to buy this reel

I love Shimano fixed spool reels for fishing for Bass around the coast of the UK. The issue for me is never with the internal construction, but the ability of the line roller to continue to function perfectly. I find they stick and become quite irritating even with maintenance. The Stradic and Vanford both suffer from this. Trying to get hold of higher tier reels like the Vanquish or Stella in the UK is a joke as well; come on Shimano - pull your finger out...

Having owned 3 Stella's, certates, and exists. The key is. Don't move from place to place with the rods in the rod holder. Never let salt spray on them. Don't hose them down. I wipe them, inbox spray. And with the bail arm bearing a drop of shimano oil then move the bearing to bed it in with a rubber band. Spending more on a reel won't keep salt water off it.

A lada is a car, so is a ferrari. They will both get you from point A to point b. A bug is food, so is caviar. Using nice equipment really enhances your fishing pleasure, and that reel is so precise on the drag, and the drag is so smooth you are less liable to lose a fish. But I don't care what you do. I've owned cheap reels and Stella, certate, exist reels. And this is easily the best small spinning reel ever made.

not all angler can afford Stella. I prefer DAIWA

Don't get the stella, get the twin power instead
