    I use bunches! Fenugreek, amla, horsetail, nettle, brahmi, bhringraj, hibiscus, neem, henna, aloe vera...you name it, lol! I think its fun and it's been super healthy for my hair.

    I have been using shikakai powder, reetha powder, amla powder, hibiscus powder and bhringraj powder for a month now I'm thinking of adding fenugreek powder

    I used shikaki, alma and chebe powder and my hair has improved so much. I'm so grateful for these natural products. They have strengthen my hair and the density of my hair has increased. I've been using for two weeks consistently chebe powder.

    Welcome back! Your hair looks great as usual. I was just re-watching an old vid of yours when this popped up. I do use shikakai regularly. I'll add some to my rhassoul clay wash, and also to my DIY african black soap shampoo. About to try a new homemade shampoo recipe after my next protective style.

    I absolutely love! I have been using a Shakakai shampoo bar that has Bhrami and Bhringraj. It makes every single curl pop, hair has a bit more density and longer.

    Melissa Denise it’s called Original Swastik Shikakai. Small bar with orange packaging and a East Indian woman on the front with dark hair. I purchased at my local Indian market for $1.39.

    Melissa Denise I currently use the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I mix it with water. It can be used with Apple Cider Vinegar. I use about once a month in place of using my shampoo. It is then followed up with rinsing my hair of all residue and deep conditioning.

    I looove shikakai....I mix it with Aretha(soapnuts) and green tea or hibiscus tea instead of water☺ the two are great cleansers and yes the help the overall health of hair☺I let it sit for 3-5minutes then rinse(am extra) 😂 It is VERY dangerous if it gets in your eyes

    @@MelissaDenise it’s only dangerous because of the particles. If you strain it in a milk bag then you should be fine. If it gets in your eye, it’s still gonna hurt like hell but it’s better than having to go to the ER to get the particles out as well as the pain.

    All y'all warning about the eyes...duh! I mean are people washing their hair with their eyes wide open? Shikakai has been used in India in the hair since forever. They'd all be blind if they didn't CLOSE THEIR EYES!

    Is there anything you do to get your baby hair to cooperate or was the big chop the best option to have your curl journey on the same page as the rest of your hair?

    Hey! I actually never did the big chopped...i transitioned for a few yrs while still flat ironing my hair. I would get really big trims until all the relaxer was gone. If I had to do it all over again I probably would of semi big chopped at least. Its hard dealing with relaxed & new growth...if you dont want to big chop you can always do twist outs, braid outs, even roller sets to make the new and old flow together a little more. Or protective styles work of course. Makes sure youre doing protein treatments regularly...aphogee 2 stepped helped me a TON when I was transitioning. Hope that helps! xox

    I’ve definitely tried this powder and get all my Ayurvedic herbs from Hennasooq . The company is amazing and has everything and the owner Kadijah is so knowledgeable. I have the best head of healthy hair using herbs, fatty oils like coconut and avocado in addition to sea moss, so that is all I use. Tulsa, neem and burdock root tea are other things you should try if you haven’t.

    I do it all the time and it's fine. When I apply to wet hair I let it sit for like 20-30 mins under a shower cap then rinse out and finish up wash day.
