    This was a very pleasant video to watch. I was as impressed with the Ram as I was with the shearing. It is clear that all care is taken to treat the animal with dignity, and honor the fear any prey animal has when they feel helpless. I see that you are swift in your work, conscientious, and careful. There will be those individuals who will bleat about their preferred lifestyle (vegan, vegetarian, or whatever) but I have very little respect for those who cannot understand and accept different perspectives. Like all Vegans and Vegetarians and Carnivores, I consume many life forms. I accept the circle of life. Most of the life forms I consume aren't cuddly or cute, but I treasure their little green lives and the sacrifice they make to become my dinner and nourish me. I think that the one certainty that gives me peace is whenever I see an animal treated with dignity. Thank you for sharing. :)

    You're a nice lady, I turned vegetarian after a lot of effort on the grounds of non-violence and mercifulness because I had suffered a lot of anxiety and bullying and violence from people which dramatically reduced after quiting meat. I hope I continue to be. Respect all non-vegetarians too including my family.

    @@jayeshjadhav8863 Thank you so much for this. I really appreciate. I respect all those with different food preferences from my own, and would appreciate the same from others. There are those carnivores who spew hatred to vegetarians and vegans, but honestly, I've seen more hate from those who won't eat meat. Despite the nutritional requirements that some folks face (I am someone who literally could NOT survive on a vegan diet, though I consume very little meat). If I could, I'd raise every animal I consumed. Make sure that they lived a loved and dignified life until the end (which is all anyone can ask for). When I raised snakes, I raised the mice I fed them, because I wanted them to live with dignity.

    @@LadyLithias Your totally fine. My parents also consume meats in little proportions. It's all individual preferences and like you said if we're conscious of our deeds and respect and maintain the dignity of the living entity which nourishes us then that's all is needed. Even plant forms although are very lower life form when harvested for food do get killed (there might also be pain involved but since we don't know yet maybe.) That's even my experience that often times meat eating people are nicer than their counterparts. I myself used to argue with my parents because the violence was disturbing to me. I still like the taste of meat but I can't eat because of the intense feeling of killing someone that I get but again it's just for some people like me who're sensitive to it or have some past related fears. I feed my parent meat whenever they want to in moderation because that's what even they are used to. Stay safe and live well! And you have got gorgeous green blue hair! :)

    Why don’t you only trim the sheep. In this process we all can see that the sheep’s neck and body is twisted as if they are a commodity not a life. They are not handled with care which can lead to a lot of stress. Because of this stress sheep can suffer from fear for days.

  • @lastsideshearing

    Forcing a sheep to be held on a stand or with a rope and collar is far more stressful and dangerous. The skin cannot be stretched so it is flat and wrinkles of skin are more likely to be cut. My process is fast, safe and low stress for the sheep. After shearing sheep can be seen on the pasture eating grass like nothing has occurred.

    Yes, I do buy vegan products only from vegan shops. Why do we have to domesticate animals? All life matters whether humans or non-humans. I don’t believe in factory farming. Using animals in any way to cruel, unethical and immoral. We must change this for our future generations and teach them kindness and compassion for animals instead of telling them to learn on how to use animals for our benefits.

  • @lastsideshearing

    @lastsideshearing

    4 жыл бұрын

    Awesome, being vegan is unbelievably hard! One of my kids tried but settled for just being vegetarian. "Factory" farming is the result of high land prices and consumers demand for cheap food. There are no feed lots in my area for sheep. They all live as they are supposed to with ample access to fresh air and grass. My clients raise sheep because they love the lifestyle and working with the animals but because the costs are great they need to sell the wool and the meat to pay bills. This ensures that most can live long and healthy lives and the farmer can earn a living too. Circle of life.

  • @rbrb2358
    @rbrb23584 жыл бұрын

    We can get cheap healthy plant based food also. It’s just about demand and supply. Everything starts from your heart....if humans have kindness in their heart they will quit meat. It’s about feeling for another life like we feel for human life. Animals feel pain, they are sentient beings. They cry, they howl, they suffer. If humans won’t feel that eating a dead animals flesh is unethical and immoral than they won’t change...everything has to start from feeling for a living being. Feeling for a life!

    I don’t accept any kind of animal abuse. Let them live the way god has made them. We are not supposed to do anything with the animals. They are not our commodities. Please don’t try to be willfully ignorant. This is not acceptable!

  • @lastsideshearing

    @lastsideshearing

    I disagree with your opinion. All domesticated animals must be properly cared for. Neglect is abuse. I am interested though, do buy your fruit, grain and veggies at a grocery store that also sells meat and dairy products? Do you research that the food you buy is grown on a "vegan" farm, no animals on the property at all? Do you buy clothing only from stores that sell vegan clothes?

    It’s not all difficult being a vegan. You are just giving a justification for selling wool and meat which is unethical. Animals can never be happy in a closed environment. It’s not a natural habitat of any animal. Animals raised in factory farming use half of the worlds water. This water can be supplied to humans who don’t have access to water. We are not living in a age where we have eat animals to survive. We are just using animals as commodities and for our profits. Why don’t we shift to plant farming where there is no killing of any sentient life. Why can’t we be kind to animals and coexist with them. Can we not hear their pain when they are murdered for meat? Can we not see them happy? Can we not live without eating their flesh which is harmful for our bodies. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION OF HUMANE KILLING.

    I haven't done the research but I would guess it's very unclear if the population could be maintained off of a vegan only diet and what other Implications this would have on the environment, wildlife, ect. It's dishonest to assume that vegan stops all suffering. millions of animals are sucked into the harvesting machines used in fields. Run off from pesticides and herbicides. Ect. Also another way to look at life is like mold on a slice of bread. Each spore is an individual but from far enough away it's just one big cancerous blotch that's destroying the bread. Maybe we are the metaphorical spores and planet earth is the slice of bread. Why not? Thirdly, People will kill a parasite to save the host but not consider the parasite as a life form. The idea of life is almost subjective in this sense. I don't believe anything should suffer but why is an ant not as important as a cat. It's interesting to think about but makes anyone who points the finger at someone else a pretentious prick.
