They're so calm and kudos to the guys giving them comfort.

It’s fascinating and satisfying to see how the hair comes off looking just like a blanket. I bet it’s a huge relief for the animal in warmer weather!

The music makes it calming and enjoyable. I want a farm!

That's a lot of wool off one alpaca! It must be scary for the alpaca when it is first shorn but in hot weather it must be so good for them when the wool is gone. The animals look healthy and well cared for.

I agree. I’ve seen quite a few videos with people roughing their animals (sheep) and nicking the crap out of them. These guys took care of their animals the way you’re supposed to.

He's so gentle with the alpaca. Great job.

Depending on the type of alpaca, suri or huacaya, you get about 3-5 pounds of fiber. I used to work at an alpaca farm.

To all people in the comments who think alpacas are worried, stressed, scaried. No theyre not. They are used to it. It's not a torture, It's a favor to shave them.

I find this video intensely satisfying and soothing from the music. If i was that alpaca, i would be overjoyed to have all that shaven off. Which reminds me to get my hair cut one of these days.

This is sooo satifying to watch.

That is so cool putting them on a board. I never saw them shear the alpacas. We have the fiber tours in my area which is sheep, rabbits, goats, alpac & llamas. They have people show how they wash, dye, dry, comb out, & finally spin the fur to make clothes.
