Jump cuts are fine, but the strength of your vlogs is that in the big pauses, there is room for us to think about your story, as if it is a real conversation. So don't put in too many jump cuts! Really love the content!

Tarkovsky's "Stalker" has some pretty amazing long takes. You're not doing a feature though, so quick takes seem fine. It would however be fun to see you do a long take through the forest somehow. Maybe set it up, semi planned in such a way.
