    lol Lulu might have taken some talking to but you made her look fabulous. Some of the comments indicate that because some folks treat their dogs like human babies that it’s going to translate to every human their dogs come into contact with. Personally I only see dogs as animals and all animals can be unpredictable. Therefore it’s important for them to know what you will tolerate and be submissive.

    To act like that at such a young age just goes to show, you can't put anything past DOGS! No matter the age. people are so quick to say they are just dogs but don't realized the context and depth behind that statement! They are dogs which mean they WILL bite for ANYTHING they don't like or don't want to happen. I applaud your patience and no nonsense attitude. It definitely calmed her down and made her realize you are in charge. Great work Brittanny!! You got her groomed safely and beautifully!

    Wow, thank you so much!! Yes, I feel people need to know, grooming is NOT an easy job and sometimes you have to be stern with these dogs as you would your own kids but remember they are not humans and in fact unpredictable animals so you have to stay on guard for what they may or may not do...especially with SHARP tools!

    It certainly adds a challenge when they are aggressive. The trick is to figure out how to groom them despite their behaviors! Good job! That's why I have a playlist created for the puppies that come to me as they are so unpredictable! 🐾🐶

    9:35 - 9:47 That, ladies and gents, is what we call having a str8 sucker attack.. LOL, wtf?? That’s why she kept brushing. She was probably like- “Are you serious right now..?”. Lulu needs some counterconditiong training at home and she’ll be straight. It wouldn’t even be that difficult because as a standard poodle, she needs regular brushing anyway. Just treat her at random intervals for being calm and I bet you next time she’d be at least 60% better if her owner did this even every other day.

    It is easy to criticize when you are not in someone else shoes. The person who complained about Brittany being mean is not a groomer and does not know what they are talking about. Criticize the dog's owner! Shameful.

    If poodles are groomed regularly since they were about 8 weeks, could they still act like this? Im looking into a poodle but am worried they will hate grooming, which is obviously a must.

  • @TheLuvOfDogs

    @TheLuvOfDogs

    3 күн бұрын

    Yes, they can still act this way even if groomed every 8weeks. Lulu comes every 6-8wks and still doesn’t like her front legs to be clipped or brushed but I can get it done and she is significantly better now than she is in this video. She was a puppy trying to dominate. It al depends on the dog and their personality. Some dogs are more dominant than others. Lulu is that way. Way more dominant than poodles I’ve come across.

    For the apricot poodle Lulu, the groomer is very heavy handed with her and impatient. She is brushing the dog out incorrectly. You should be starting at the bottom of the area you’re brushing. If you start at the top and drag all of the compacted hair/mats, you’re pulling the hair. No wonder the dog is getting mouthy/aggressive. I would too. How would you feel and act if someone did that to you. I am speaking from experience as a dog breeder. The staff at this establishment NEED to be PROPERLY trained to handle pets. You don’t need to be LOUD and heavy handed. Would you like to be screamed at. If this grommet was my employee, she wouldn’t be for long.

    I watch/watched many grooming channels but have only a handful that I watch regularly. Some have no idea of how to use a comb, scissors, brush properly. One of my biggest pet peeves is the "It's okay" that spews from their mouths while the dog is being aggressive/misbehaving. Think it is safe to say we all have different techniques...do I agree with everything that is done on this or every other channel....no, but I think Brittany does a good job and addresses these dogs accordingly as far as their bad behaviors go. I watch and will continue to watch this channel. Lulu looks lovely and her owner deserves a hug for keeping her in good shape. I have experience too, groomed professionally for over 30 years.

    @@user-wj5ce6zo9c you are absolutely allowed to have your opinion. Everyone is entitled to have their OPINION. But an OPINION doesn’t mean a FACT. What you see is usually what you get but when you’re watching something on KZread and can’t ACTUALLY tell, how soft or gentle something is, that statement is actually incorrect. The brush out was the correct touch to demat a dog. Also, my hand is on the mat so the brush is actually not hitting her skin, only mine. You see the fur move and bounce when I brush because that’s what happens with motion. Think of when you brush your hair. Sometimes I wonder when people make comments like this, do you not take into consideration of how things are when you do these motions to your self. Even the softest touch of brushing will look as you state “not gentle” because you can’t actually feel what you are watching. But to each is own. Thank you for the view and comment. I actually appreciate all of it 🙏🏾
