Hi! Boos owner here, just wanted to say thank you so much for grooming him! We are super happy about how you were able to get the matts out for him ! Boo had a leg injury a little bit ago, and then shortly after he got a really bad case bronchitis and a lung infection for about 2 months and no groomer would accept him while he was sick! He was at boarding before his grooming appointment for awhile and Due to the cold weather we had, he was wearing sweaters for probably the whole time he was in boarding to keep him warm, with the occasional bath and a brush. We like keep him a little on the fluffier size and always have to give him a good brush after wearing his harness or any type of clothes. Getting him groomed by you was a great way to celebrate him getting over being sick and to help him feel even better :) And I saw a lot of the comments trying to guess what boo is, and some of you actually got it right haha. Boo is a 12 year old Yorkshire Terrier mixed with a Mini poodle :) And yes boo has an upcoming appointment to get his teeth all cleaned up :)

Boo looks a lot like my family's Morkie, who left us 3 years ago. 😢 Boo is a little larger but the hair texture and colour are exactly the same. Also very sweet and well-mannered!

I’m no dog expert, but I assume he took antibiotics for the bronchitis and lung infection. If he did, the antibiotics could have caused an imbalance in his gut bacteria, affecting his breath. Do they have probiotics for dogs? Can dogs eat yogurt?

​@MM-d289 yes they do have puppy and even kitty prebiotic. And yes dogs and cats both can eat yogurt, plain unsweetened yogurt which can be hard to find. But yep a tasty and healthy treat for both as yogurt is lacking in lactose. Still shouldn't give them large amounts.

He was SO well behaved and trusting. I feel sorry that his owners let him go this far...but we all have priorities if situations are tough I guess... I hope he gets his teeth etc, better food maybe? A true GENTLEMAN ❤😊

I have no desire to groom my dog, but I can't stop watching these videos. I think it's because I'm a retired humane police officer and after years of dealing with animal abusers, it's nice to see someone who genuinely cares for the animals entrusted to her.

I was thinking he was Maltese, Yorkie and possibly some schnauzer… I had a Maltese / Schnauzer mix that looked exactly like this cute little guy only he was a bit bigger…. But otherwise I thought I was looking at my little JoeJoe!!! RIP…..

Boo behaved like a star ⭐️! To me the conversations he had with the shower nozzle and the blow dryer were perfectly needed! Vanessa, you made him look like a dapper gentleman! 💕

We fostered a little old-man, teacup yorkie, a couple of years ago. He was so funny, loved to face into the breeze and bark his little raspy bark. This reminded me of that incomparable little Mr. Gizmo, who overcame so much to live his best life.

I have two long haired Shih poo dogs. I have fought with matting on them forever. It was only recently I started watching your channel that I realized they had to be blown dry after shampooing them. I always thought it was better on their fur to let them dry naturally. Now I can go a week without brushing them and they are so easy to brush out. No more matting. Thanks so much for putting these videos out here for us.

Boo is such a good boy!! You could see that he really wanted to be a good boy. He didn't like the "dryer of doom," but it sure was sweet when he gave Vanessa a kiss! I'm not sure if the kiss was to thank Vanessa for her words of comfort or a way that he could calm himself down (probably both), but it was adorable. ❤ He looked great. 🥰

Boo was the spitting image of my Yorkie Poo, Max. We lost him in January, he was 14. Seriously they were twins. It was sad and great to see him again. TFS

I was thinking YorkiPoo also. We have a 7.5 yo black YP and when we let his hair grow long (when we first got him) it’s like this. Now he keeps a short teddy bear cut and is easier to manage, unless I let his tail go too long unbrushed.

@@wendykile7545 interestingly, my YorkiPoo was. Litter of three that was supposedly Morkie. When he was a few months old, he was obviously mixed with poodle. The friend I got him from had a Yorkie, Poodle, and Maltese. The other two in the litter stayed small and retained the Morkie look, while mine was larger, with a curly/wavy coat. We realized that the Yorkie had apparently been double-bred. He is now roughly 15 lbs., twice the size we thought he’d be. We didn’t care at all, we are perfectly happy with our Henry!

Aaaw, what a sweet baby! His little wimpers in the bath melted my heart 😭❤

I love the way you move the smaller dogs around by lifting their back-end and rotating them. I just think its so cute the way they freeze and just let you position them how you'd like sometimes hahah.

What a well-behaved little man you had today. What a delight to see that you were able to get the matting out without shaving, I'm sure his owners will be very relieved to hear that.

What a good little boy, I hope he gets his teeth taken care of so he isn't in any pain.

Not only pain but infection as well🥺 that’s what happened to our girl which led to a seizure. 💔 I myself barely survived the whole nightmare 😢 dental health is very vital ( we did do her dental and all is well 🥹)

You are seriously the best dog groomer ever. It's not only your skills as a pet groomer, but how educated you are on animal behaviour. Keep doing what you do! We need more just like you.

I had a Lhaso. I got her as a puppy. I brushed her Dailey bathed her monthly. She grew a beautiful long coat. Brought her to the groomer every 6 weeks for grooming to shape her, nails, etc. when she became older I kept her in a puppy clip. Always started my dogs young grooming them. Mutts and pedigrees. Made it easy for me & better for their health.❤️

We had a Lhasapoo who appeared on our patio one horribly cold, wet February day. She was incredibly matted (including cockleburs). When we were finally able to get our hands on her, she was four months old. I gave her her first haircut (it wasn't the prettiest, but it got the job done), but after that, we took her to the groomers. She was (fortunately) very well behaved.

Mr. Boo is quite a well-behaved fellow. Thank you for his spaw day and making him look so neat & tidy. ❤

You always do such a wonderful job of explaining the nuances, and the why's of your choices during each groom. Every dog is different and you clearly know your business well, but it's lovely to hear the reasons. I don't even have a dog but every one of these videos is so, so nice.

What a successful transformation. My little scamp of a similar looking dog needs to be brushed daily to avoid those long fine mats. If he goes out in the snow or rain he does exactly what you describe, rubbing everywhere to dry off. I towel him which helps but then brush him. You made it look so easy! Very good video.

I do hope the owners proceed with the dental. It is expensive as hell ( and I was absolutely terrified about the anaesthesia) but it saved the life of our sweet tiny yorkie. She has been a completely different dog since. Much happier, much more energy and eats WAY more than she used to 😃 ( she’s still only 3 pounds) we were going to do it in March of 2020 but we all know what happened then…… 😒😷 Great job Vanessa!💜

What a good boy. Boo is a gentleman. I have had a few Yorkies in the past. I remember their wispy hair, though never had an issue with matting. I used a groomer but occasionally gave them some hilarious home hair cuts. I had zero talent for grooming. Though it was always fun for the dog and I - I'd cry laughing and dogs would get all silly. 😊

This is one of my dogs coats to a tee! She doesn't get matted thankfully. But I'm glad to see you do one like her. We know her mom is a Yorkie but not sure what the dad was. The biggest difference is her ears stand up. Love your videos and products!

Dad might have been a West Highland White Terrier or a Cairn Terrier since the ears stand up.

Aww! Boo is such a good boy, he looks so handsome in the after shots! Happy memories of my friend’s Yorkie, Daisy. I called her Crazy Daisy and looked after her for one week per month when friend was away from home. She loved the shower-bath once she got there but used to ‘hide’ in her bed when she’d knew it was time, then look confused when I immediately found her lol.. Hearing all the cute wee yorkie snuffly noises is making me smile. She went to rainbow bridge at the end o last year at 11 years old. She was the goodest of girls who, in her younger days, bounced off everything but the ceiling and lost both of her brain cells any time anyone came to the door. She’d yell at leaves in the garden and get upset when my living room rug didn’t want to play-fight her. Thank you for posting this, yorkies really are amazing wee dogs, absolute mental cases but lots and lots of fun 💜💞

As a person whose family made a habit of adopting yorkies, it was so nice to see how polite Boo was. Yeah, they can be feisty at times, but their overall personality is one that you can help but smile and hug. Just a shame that some of the yorkies we have sadly don’t handle the groomers all too well.
