I live on Orcas and was dear friends with Maria P , the original dreamer- owner-resident. Marri never allowed anyone but herself in the tower, not even her lover, or me , her friend.. She originally dreamed, sited and began with the bath pod as a cloth sided yurt..She required the builders to avoid disturbing every single calypso orchid where the house is. I love how Suzanne has developed this fairy house into a fully equipped home. Marri had a hotplate in the closet with the tiny sink as her kitchen. So nice to see this again, thank you. I so miss Miss MarriP Marri was a fairy queen if ever there was one.

What a magical home... so sweet of that woman to share it with others. She also radiates kindness. (I know people pay to stay there. I mean share as in she doesn't keep it all to herself. So others can enjoy staying there for a couple nights.)

LMFAO, she's not sharing, she's making bank! It STARTS at $245 per night and you're required to stay a minimum of two nights during the off season and FOUR nights during the peak season! PLUS $210 cleaning fee, a $75 non-refundable damage fee, and an unspecified booking fee. Lmao nothing about this is sweet and kind. It's business; it's purely to make money.

@@AdelineCowgirl ... . & if you bring a pet, that's another deposit/fee... you are charged for dog each day there. (Can understand a pet deposit, refunded if no damage done by pet.)

I can't believe that such a house exists in reality. This house is amazing.

I personally think we've peaked. This gorgeous home in amongst nature, hidden away from everyone else, the lovely wood, the balconies, the views, the bath tub! The adorable bed with the curved wood around it like a little nook, the bookshelf at the top of the living room. I would never want to give it up!

What I would worried the most about is bird poop everything that's why I dont want trees near my home

I really appreciate how with each addition/alteration to the house, she kept everything in the spirit of the house. So many people go into a soulful house and just strip it of any original personality (and sometimes irreplaceable features) in favor of whatever happens to be chic at the time.

I cannot imagine a more perfect place to live. I would never leave. ❤

This, by far, is my favorite tiny home tour. I could see myself living in this house for the rest of my days. My soul would be happy here. 🌸💜🌸

That house probably used as much if not more wood than a regular home. It's made intirely of wood.

The owner is so sweet, to open up her place to others; to get her first experience over and over again…..🙏🏽

It’s beautiful, but at my old age, I have to make several potty runs throughout the night. I could see me being too sleepy coming down from the tower to use the restroom and falling over the rail down into the forest! 😂😂🤪

What a charming home to live in. I am jealous to say the least! I wish I was not so old now because I would love to be able to stay there. It would be wonderful if more places could be built like this one. A neighborhood of tree houses! Maybe 🥰✨

One word: UNIQUE! There's no other home like this one. I love the way indoor and outdoor plants are used.

Yes a mixture of Rivendale and Lothlorien! It has the architecture of Rivendale and the Lothlorien tree houses with the lights and spiral staircase and of course surrounded by the forest. As if you stepped into this mystical fairy tale that was made real. And then added a Japanese soaking tub for the "muah" kiss of perfection on top.

Orcas Island, in and of itself is a special place. The scenery spectacular, the people friendly, a jewel in the San Juan Islands. There was a moped rental facility close to the ferry dock which is a good way to explore the entire island and should you spend more than 48 hours, you will discover some oddities and quirks endemic to existence on a small chunk of floating land. Advise a good hat, light jacket and familiarity with the art of "layering".

Yes...she makes close to $300 a nite...and is Booked Solid...y.plus $200 cleaning fee...so,...you could pay off all debts...then move back in.

@@endlessstudent3512 It's near Seattle. We're a temperate rainforest so it rarely snows or dips to freezing. It does happen, but it's rare. People in Seattle have no idea how to drive in the snow. They take days off work and school if it snows 😅 Rainforests are filled with ferns and moss. Ferns stay green year round. Go South and you'll hit Portland which gets a ton of snow. Go to Eastern Washington and you'll get the same cold snowy winters as Montana. There's very little rainforest left in the US. This is what most of the US looked like at the time of dinosaurs. Huge ferns and gigantic trees. Videos and pictures don't do it justice.

@@zenwilds2911 I know, I visited Olympic national park a few years ago and I loved it. Like walking in a Fairy tale forest, especially when the sun is shining through the canopies, leaving trails of sunlight. I was there in July though and it wasn't very warm. Thats why I was asking how it is in winter. But I understand, that temparture moves neither up nor down too much. :)

I'm so happy to find out that there are people living in places like this. I mean, I love my home (living on top of an old house downtown in Mexico City with a big terrace and all). But it's amazing to be this close to nature.

I absolutely love this it is so amazing and beautiful and you're right more builds need to be like this hand crafted so they're built with beauty. I so hope in my lifetime that I get to come and have the pleasure of getting to stay in this beautiful place thank you so much for sharing it with us

This is one of the finest wilderness houses I have ever seen. Its maintained in a good way, with a cheering face like Suzanne, you could stay a lot here. I like how the rooms are connected together in a Bohemian way. But it works, because it looks like Suzanne has done good job in preserving it the right way.

There's a little place in France like this too. I was there a couple of years ago and I think Sweden has a hobbit inspired place too. If you want to stay in a similar place it might be easier to go to one of those.

What a fantastic place to live. So beautiful.

I was excited at the possibility of renting, my Son and his family live in Seattle and thought it would be a fun place for us to stay during one of my visits, but then I read she no longer uses it as a rental. I do hope this is due to a change she wanted and not because a renter, or more, damaged the property. It is truly unique and she clearly invested a lot of herself into the place. Thank you for showing us her beautiful home.

I know I say this about every single home I see on your show, by the way Jenna this is my favorite program! And I am in love with this castle treehouse I say I want my vehicle and home connected, but from your show I learned that's not really the best way to go because of the vehicle breaks down you are without a vehicle but you have your home? So definitely they need to be separated! But being a nature girl growing up in the country and still living in the country with nobody around but the sounds of crickets and all these beautiful birds and there's just something spectacular about living in the country! This is ideal for me the natural wood the natural colors the natural everything is what's going to be in my home that will one day be featured on your Channel!!

When I was very young, my favorite book was about these tiny people who lived in tiny houses up in the trees... this fairytale house could've easily been an illustration for that book! ❤
