Well, if its any consellation I do believe that the one who paid for a built that 105,000 sq ft mansion, lost a lot of money on it. Had big expectations, but no one wanted to buy it simply because of upkeep costs and all the wasted space. I know there was a youtube video sometime back about how disasterous the project was.

I think most of these homes are way over the top, that the owners will be lucky to spend much time in most parts of them. I think a great game room, entertainment center, with some great outdoor area on top of having a great kitchen, living room, dining room and the rest of the basics, is all you really need, anything else is just bragging.

If you mean house that BIG, you gotta start thinking of marrying a maid... a dozen of maids as wives to clean and dust off the house. Not to mention having a team of babies as security guards. Homes that huge require a team as a package. I prefer the observation dorm in the woods... ... so romantic.
