I really have to admire Gia's efforts to try luring Christian but him being a loyal husband handled the situation smartly. And that is the reason Ana embraced the surname Grey so happily knowing that that is his husband.

What I love about this scene is 2 elements. 1. Ana knows how Christian is with people touching him so when he says it’s up to my wife he reassures her that he’ll be remain loyal to her. 2. This is when Ana truly embrace The Grey name not to throw it in Gia’s face but to let Gia and herself know that she’s the one calling the shots bc she’s seen Christian through it all the good, bad, and worse so it’s both a confidence booster and a reminder to Ana that just like how Christian will always be there for her she will always be there for him too. Sorry for the long rant just love the context of this story

Your not the only one when the first film came out, my sister and her ex boyfriend went to see it and she said she laughed throughout the when movie

I don’t even keep up with this but I just love how Christian was remaining loyal to his woman and didn’t invite the flirtations from Gia in respect for his wife Ana. That was a power move there as Christian wanted the house already but said it’s up to his wife so she could put Gia in her place, since that’s his wife.

Now that's how you deal with a disrespectful woman or man.......in quiet tone......and to the point......

Christian had such a proud look on his face! Like "oh really?! Yep that's my wife!"

The hand with the wedding band...subtle move a reminder to Gia who holds the cards.

I hated the books. I disliked the movies. But this scene is one of my favorites, it was so nicely executed. If I remember correctly, the books explained that he foresaw the sass Ana was about to unleash towards Gia and that's why he gladly let her handle the situation.

Ana:” we were just discussing a new approach you know less in your face … more respectful “ That’s the way to remind someone “remember stop eyeing my man and keep your bloody hands to yourself” And it’s not like Mr Grey wasn’t listening 👂 you know Especially not long after this he toss her the keys to their car saying “You handled Gia you can handle the car”

throughout the movie.. this was in the beginning of the movie. barley the middle. and ana said “at work i need my own identity” they aren’t at her work. and after the conversation she and christian had she said she would think about being called grey at work. but she was always called mrs. grey in her personal life. watch the movie.
