Shaving Head with BEVEL razor

Ойын-сауық

Here's a how to video to shave your head bald. I've had several questions in my BEVEL video about how I shave and the products I now use, so this should answer all of them.

Great vid! That Bevel razor works great because of the angle that it puts the blade in. If you wanna stay cheap on the cream, but still want a great shave-Aveeno Shave Cream, but DON'T get the Men's version, get the regular Aveeno shave cream. Another great shave product is Bumpzapper's Lavender Shower Gel made by Breej- It's 10 bucks for a 16oz bottle but it will last FOREVER because you only need a drop to lather your entire head. PLEASE trust the razor will glide so well and the hair will come off so easily, it will feel like the hair is just falling off your head. After you shave with this gel , you can just rub the rest of the gel into your skin-no need to rinse off. Breej makes some great NON- MEDICINAL smelling bump treatment too, if you need. NO man needs to use cartridges. Look at old photos of people who lived in the early 1900's. The skin is flawless because they shaved with a straight or double edge razor and not a cartridge. Cartridge pulls the hair up then shaves it; Double edge like Bevel shaves at the skin level....Great vid bro!

Good tips in this video. For beginners though, as he mentioned, you might want to shave down and forward. The side-shaving technique may give you bumps until your scalp gets used to shaving in that direction. Also, he did multiple strokes in "one pass". I personally do less strokes each pass but more passes (2-3). That way, I can lather again and protect my scalp as much as possible.

Great video! Excellent details! I started using coconut oil on my shave mug soap and whip into a rich lather. I will order a bevel razor to see if there's a difference for me. I've been successful with multiblade razors shaving against the grain with nearly no nicks. I would always get nics and cuts with a single blade. I've never used the Bevel blade though. I love the idea of using Bevel products as they are black owned. Much love and thanks for the video! Ubuntu Ma'at Ase'🙏🏿

I use the Van Der straight razor and it works great. Will try Bevel also. I also use J&J Baby oil lotion or the Wal-Mart version and it also does really well to prevent bumps and get a really close shave. Only downside is that it gonks up the blade which can become bothersome. But it works really well. Will try the coconut oil since we have so much around the house.

Awesome video. I've watched it and started using coconut oil before adding shaving gel and I've had smoother shaving with a lot less irritation. I've even started using the Bevel safety razor, much better than the Van der Hagen safety razor, which has a much better weight and feel. As far as blades, I just order mine from eBay or Amazon. I got 100 blades for about $12 and they work just as well as Bevel or any other blade.

Great video. I have always wondered about the black soap. I am white but I have a lot of Irish in my Heritage so my hair is course and curly but not as much as black men's. So I look at a lot of Products for black men. I have been shaving my heck with a Edwin Jagger DE 89 safety razor for some time now and really like it. for the first time last I shaved my head with it. I have feather blades in it now and are super sharp. I have used derby blades also and again are super sharp. I want to try persona blades are I use the feather blades up. I got them on Amazon at a great price. I will post some pics of them. Thanks again for the video. Well I tried to add pics. But look them up and try see if you like them

Nice video! I’ve been shaving my head for going on 3 yrs now . My first shave was done with a shavette style straight razor , came out nice and smooth , a few nicks and cuts of course but overall nice . The next day my head was so irritated and full of bumps . I then came to the conclusion that razors were not for me . I bought the Braun 9 series , norelco 9000 series and the Panasonic eslv 95 . I used those with no irritation but found that each has a disadvantage. Panasonic was overly aggressive when dry shaving but did a great job wet shaving but it left hair. Braun gave a great comfortable shave just not close enough and it to leaves hair . The norelco was the least powerful of the three but it does a great job picking up what the other 2 left behind . So I found myself using 2 shavers plus my trimmer was the nape of my neck . This has been my routine for few yrs up until a month ago when I decided to try the bevel blade system. I did two with the grain two pass shaves and I was impressed that I had no irritation to the blade whatsoever! I did not like the shaving cream but the preshave and postshave is pretty good prouduct . The razor is in my opinion very mild which is good for my skin my only complaint was the angling of which you have to hold it in order for it to cut the hair and avoid getting nicks . I was no longer satisfied with the bevel so I researched until I found the ultimate razor and it’s the Blackland Vector. It’s a single edge safety razor which uses the artist club blades . This razor is mild and maneuverable . The head of the razor is narrow, the weight is just perfect. I have not received any nicks or cuts since using it and guess what ? I even shaved against the grain. I think one of the advantages of this razor is the fact that you can select different types of blades which control the aggressiveness of the razor . I use the Kai titan milds which has less blade exposure as say a feather pro . I being a black man , really enjoy this razor because now I am able to get that truly close shave without suffering irritation and bumps .

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Since this was about a year ago, I don't know if you have made any changes to your routine, but if you want to go organic, I'd stop with the Dove products. I used to use them, but have found natural alternatives, not much more expensive. Gillette as well. Find products that are SLS, Sulphates and Parabens free. I think the coconut oil is a great idea to use by itself on the head. You can't find much out there to use if you want a nice lather (outside of regular shaving cream/gels), unless you use a shaving brush, which I use on my face. As an aftershave I use tea tree, and aloe oil on my head. though some find the scent of tea tree oil strong, I like it. And it is great for razor bumps. On my face, my face serums contain witch hazel, aloe, and vitamin E so I don't use an aftershave on my face. Besides all the ingredients are in aftershaves anyways. I find my scalp and face to be nourished, hydrated, and protected.

I randomly stumbled upon these head shaving videos, and don't even need to watch these, but they're fascinating lol. I see a lot of people use a straight razor, and obviously you have to be careful, so you don't cut yourself. Is shaving your head with this thing, just like shaving your head with a regular razor? It has the safety on it, so you don't have to be so careful? If so, I don't see how you can go any other way. It cuts the time in half, and it seems to cut just as close as a straight razor.

fauxeditor The best thing to do is cleanse the skin. I use African Black Soap to cleanse my skin and sometimes an oil free face wash. I only use that because I have oily skin. But whatever you use you need to get your skin clean and depending on your skin type, use a moisturizer afterwards. If it's oily like mine I don't put anything on it because it will produce its own. Also never again use a full blade. I use mine no more than 2 times and throw them away just so I don't take any chances.
