I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Shots out to you for mastering your craft. As this video is two years old, you're probably even better now. I have one issue with what you said. The straight razor is not at 90 degrees to the skin. It's more like 20 degrees, maybe less. At 90 degrees you'd be cutting all your clients and they would be bleeding all over their beards... Again, props to you for sharing your skills with us.

i wish i knew this 21 years ago in 1998 lol. shaving the old fashion way every 5 days gets tiring after decades. i just shave to a number 1 cause i got hair on my head i just get annoyed with standing in front of a mirror with my back towards the mirror and another to see the back of the head, i hope that made sense lol until this video i used a razor and shaving cream to shave but never thought about using a beard shaver to do it. i either use a razor or a head machine if i just do a number 1. the only thing is i never trusted the beard shave for the head cause they heat up.

I recommend the Braun Series 9. I had a babyliss foil shaver before, and it was very harsh on the skin of my head so I sold it. Also, when I went to the barber for a skin fade, it always hurt when they used a regular foil shaver (andis, wahl, etc.) but I would not say anything. The Series 9 is super smooth, powerfull and fast. It's just a better machine,

I've used electric shavers to shave my head before and also regular razors (Gillette, etc.) and also safety razors. Out of all of them, I prefer the standard razors like a Schick 5-blade or Gillette. They give a smoother shave than the electric and are harder to cut yourself compared to the safety razor.

@@ABarberLife I tried to do this and the Andis pivot trimmers didn’t seem to completely clean all the hair off. It’s like a had a shadow in some areas and still dark spots in others but then a few where it was super close-almost bald. If I’m trying to get a close cut without being completely bald like “razor sharp” bald what should I be doing? Do I go against and with the grain and do the trimmers need to be zero gapped first? I’m a female but wearing mine bald for now because my temples were thin but I don’t want to try and keep cutting myself and then still have to go to the barber to clean up what I couldn’t get on my own while cutting! Lol😂. Any suggestions? The Pivots got hot really fast and it felt like it was taking sooo long even though my hair was already super low because the trimmers weren’t getting the hair properly. So if you have shadowed hair it's considered Bald? I always thought that it was when there was nothing but skin. I'd call it shaved head.

I tried this when I first started shaving my head. This method bumped me up on the back of neck just like this client. The shaver cuts too close like a razor. I stick to magic shave or clippers. I really wished this worked for me, but it's not for everyone.

I just bought that folk shaver and the back of my head is on fire right now, little bumps everywhere....skin is super irritated. It's still sore but starting to clear up a little now and everything is drying up but man, it did a number on my scalp. I used clippers to cut my hair down first but maybe I was doing the foil shaver too fast or something. I don't know.

@@FlyIslandGuy You're right, its not for everyone. I have tried the electric shavers and used all of the tricks- hot towel, lotions etc afterwards and I bump up 100% of the time. I never bump up when using clippers tho. If my hair is cut to short, my skin will get pissed! Trial and error..

I use the Wahl Detailer trimmers with cord on him..Now be careful when you adjust them bcuz they can cut you if you adjust them to closely. Also if kno a barber that can adjust them to so they could be close as possible to cut ur hair down. Then you add the Wahl Shaver..It'll make it Mr.Clean bald lol..I honestly appreciate the question and support bro. Be blessed and take care!! If you have any other questions feel free..
