The trimmer is an Andis Outliner 2. Buy it cheaper on Amazon or Ebay. I do the same thing. The Bevel Safety Razor is easy to use. Just go slow and do a good pre shave routine. Shower or hot towel. Pre shave oil and then the cream. Short slow strokes with the grain. Second pass can be sideways on the grain.

Great video but definitely not the way to insert a DE blade...conditioner is a good tip but would brush on a good shaving cream or soap prior to shaving
Get some real shaving soap!!
