My son’s name is Kale... when I named him 11 1/2 years ago nobody knew what it was except little old ladies! I chose the name because it’s Hawaiian for Charles, which is his fathers name, now he’s a very popular veggie! His friends call him lettuce lol

Hi! I am a Respiratory Therapist. Unexplained in medical terminology is called "idiopathic." Lung pain would be chest wall pain or thoracic pain. Definitely needs further evaluation I think.

Yeah, my very 1st thought was possibly pleurisy. Coughing a lot really can be painful too. However, Mary will be seeing her CF team for close evaluation. I've always liked the word idiopathic, because it's related to the word, idiot. Idiopathic simply means that the cause or reason cannot be explained. It is unknown.

Mary, you inspire me more and more every vlog. I had a very rough child hood and recently stumbled across your vlogs and watch every day. Love you, Peter and Ollie.

I am especially fond of the word pusillanimous. I once heard the Queen Mother use it in a speech on UK tv, and have loved it ever since. Feel better soon Mary, and Happy Anniversary. Karen xxx

I know the feelin Mary, keep pushing through the pain, and continue living your everyday life, when you have a chronic illness, we are way stronger than others give us credit for, but you hang on in there, and because of you I have learned to look at life from a different perspective, lots of love to you Peter and Ollie ♥️❤️♥️❤️

I’ve said this before, but you guys make my husband & I feel not so alone on this journey of chronic illness. We are from Connecticut but live in Los Angeles now. My Mom came out this week (she’s a respiratory therapist) and she was so happy when I “introduced” her to you both. Also, the first time I did grocery delivery I ordered, or thought I ordered, 10 mini bags of baby carrots...instead I got 10 pounds of carrots!!!! That still makes me laugh, and I hope it makes everyone smile too!!! Sending all of our love & blessings!!!❤️

We had a cold winter wedding 10 years ago in MN on the 5th. Yay for January anniversaries. My husband and I and our boys were all recovering from a tummy bug so we celebrated with ramen noodles. A little balsamic vinegar, lemon juice and Italian seasoning and it’s a gourmet feast. There was lots of laughter and smiles. I hope your anniversary is full of laughter as well. God bless.

When I lived in Alaska we threw boiling water into the air to see it turn to steam. There was a tradition at my university of getting pictures in front of the electric sign leading to the university when it said -40 (as -40 is the same in Fahrenheit and Celsius). So we were at a gas station across the street waiting for -39 to turn to -40 at about 2 in the morning. The attendants were nice enough to let us amuse ourselves by using the hot water spout for tea, filling up cups, and tossing it outside (though not right in front of the door, dangerous!). Then we thought, "If we add coloring, will the steam be colored!?" The answer was no. And the funniest part was that we didn't have food coloring, just a flavored drink packet we purchased. So we ended up with white steam and a patch of red ice on the ground. We couldn't resist joking about how it looked like a frozen murder scene right outside the gas station.

I love Walmart pickup!! I also love, at least at mine, that if they have to substitute an item you get TWO of the replacement!!!

We’ve just had one of the coldest days in 60 years for Toronto. It was -37.4C (that would be about -35F) yesterday with wind chill. -3 sounds glorious lol. Hope that lung pain resolves.

" Where's the Beef " ? I LOVE THAT !! 👏🏼Then we get super silly and say it about all kinds of things👏🏼......like chicken , turkey , pork , ham , bacon etc. Then our kiddos take it further and yell at each other : " do YOU have a BEEF with ME ?" Each to our own I guess ! 🤣 ☺️Enjoying the " in the moment " LOL !! I often get what is called " intercostal " pain in between my ribcage from coughing so hard !! Also pleurisy can cause lung and chest pain as well. Praying ......🙏 for some answers for you Mary and Peter , tomorrow on Monday . Love to you ALL !! ✝️☮️💟 💕Happy Happy Happy 💕 Anniversary !! 💑

You deserve a break, be careful what you wish for! I was saying that because I was. Exhausted from work etc. I got my break, I had an accident and smashed my knee! I never say that again.

Your Vlogs are "superlative"!! I hope you feel better Mary. I have Asthma. I also have Folate Malabsorption issues, low vitamin D, B12, B9(folate acid), Reverse t3, elevated liver enzymes and my Dr. can't seem to put it all together and give me a diagnosis!! I know when I can't breathe and am coughing through an asthma attack it hurts so so bad in my lungs and up my back too. It must be so hard on you with cystic fibrosis and yet you're so positive. I wish that I had a Dog like Oliver "Ollie", he is such a great service Dog for you. How old is he? We have an one and half yr. old English Setter, Reggie. He's anxious and hyper, the exact opposite of what I need. He is very loving and beautiful but, I need an Oliver in my life too!! Thank you for sharing your journey. Blessings to both of you. 🌀🍀💜

We took our tree down for similar reasons and boy it sucks to have to put it away!! Every year it makes me kind of sad.

the "weird pain" is always the worst. It's like we all become use to this that and the other. But a new weird pain, so glad Mary is getting a lung Xray. Even if they say "oh it's unexplained." that's GOOD as it means it isn't something BIG. But, best wishes and fingers crossed.

Hi I've got ashma so I know what it's like to be Ota breath and couching it sucks but yea you take your meds for your breathing and keep going try to I like your house Mary it is very nice I wish I knew how to decorate a house it's hard for me to do cause I don't know how but I still have my own neat place I like to put things in rows and small piles and books from small books to bigger books I love books a lot I try to read all the time and I love to colour it's so relaxing and coming anyways happy new year love your vidios bye
