God heal her lungs thank you she has a great husband and she is a great wife god help her pain in her body give her new lungs take care of them both and her dog

I’ve had pleurisy. Worst pain ever. I’m a professional symphony musician, a wind player of course. Played a concert without being able to take a deep breath and went from the concert straight to the ER. The made me lay flat on my back. I could not breathe on my back and started panicking. They determined I wasn’t having a heart attack and sent me home without even trying to figure out what was causing the pain. I cannot even begin to imagine how much worse it is for Mary with CF.

They sent out my boyfriend with no tests when he was showing very clear signs of this and we never figured out what it was lol🙄

I’m so sorry that you’re in so much pain Mary, but both Martin and I are sat here thanking G-d that your lung hasn’t collapsed. Pleurisy is quite nasty enough, thank you very much. We both send you all our love and will include in our prayers, as always xxxxxxxx

I've had pleurisy, about 25 yrs ago, & I KNOW how BAD it hurts! My mom gave me some of my muscle relaxers & after about 8 to 12 hrs later I was just fine. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Mary and Peter.

I have no idea what the pain is like to go through that but every time you coughed i felt it as I have asthma. You're so much of an inspiration. And your amazing family makes me so happy. You got this, keep fighting.

Guys, I've been watching you for two years and I want to say that you give so much hope, and joy and, you know, as I think about it now - you bring peace. Lately, I was very upset with one of my relatives, I was almost angry, cried a lot, and though I tried really hard to let it go and forgive, still it was hard. But watching some of your videos, I felt like all my anger and sadness just go away. Whatever you do - it's all such a warming kindness, and peace, and gratitude, and great sense of humor in any situation) Huge huge thank you, guys!)

Oh Mary, I feel so bad for you. I have had a collapsed lung. I have had migraines. I never thought to compare them. I have other lung issues. They can bring you down so fast. I feel for you, I love your positive attitude and your drive to push through setbacks. You are an inspiration to all of us.

You are a little engine that could, Mary, you just keep pushing along. You are such an encouragement for me, I have multiple sclerosis and I start to feel sorry for myself in this heat, and then I look at you and think if she can, I can. : ) I also have a wonderful husband and best friend who gives me shots three times a week and helps me through it all. When my husband had pleurisy they put him on Vicodin and he, in his drugged state, decided to watch "Hot Tub Time Machine". Laughing and pleurisy were not a good match 😂 Hope you're feeling better

I’ve had pleurisy before, and was miserable. Took PO antibiotics, pain pills, and basically stayed in bed in the fetal position for two days until the antibiotics took hold. I cannot imagine what that would have been like coupled with CF and all that goes with that. Praying you feel better soon!

I've had pleurisy before twice. With every breath I'd fall to my knees. I CANNOT imagine having to cough with it. That gives me chills thinking about it. Praying you get relief!!🙏💙🙏❤

I have had multiple bouts of severe almost deadly pneumonia and pluracy. It sucks it hurts and you feel like you're suffocating. You're amazing to be talking so calmly I'm a wreck when my chest goes real bad I get so emotional.

I honestly don't know how you stay so strong and positive just wanted to remind you how amazing you are!

Mary may I say you are such an inspiration to so many people,I have chronic back leg and hip pain and have has surgery’s to stabilise my lumber spine but I’m now bed bound,I also have some autoimmune diseases and fibromyalgia as well as mental health issues and I struggle every day with pain and being so drained I can barely string a sentence together and I am in bed most of the time so to see you do you every single day make me want to be a better person and push myself more through the pain and brain fog so I’m now going to try and do more physical therapy and do more for my mental health too so to you Mary frey I will be eternally grateful. Peter you are an incredible human being, all you do for Mary and to see how much you care love and respect her is a beautiful thing to see. Ps would love to get a message back for an extra boost into the new me (after just turning 40 and recently separated from a 22 year relationship 18 years married) so as they say life begins at 40 my new life begins at 40. THANKS BOTH FOR JUST BEING YOU 🥰🥰❤️❤️🌺🌼❤️❤️🥰🥰

Can't wait until you are in NC. It will be so nice to know you will have a pulmonary doctor looking over you from the team.

I got my first bout of Pleurisy 2 days prior to leaving London for Chicago. I will never forget that trip! I can't imagine being a patient with CF, and getting Pleurisy on top of it. I have chronic pain with my disability, but I couldn't talk through the Pleurisy pain the first time I got it. I can't imagine chest PT, or airway clearance along with it. Ugh! Thank goodness your pain meds helped, and that you went to the doctor sooner rather than later. I've had a few add'l bouts of Pleurisy, and thankfully they weren't as bad (I could talk through the pain), in comparison to the first time. All the best being sent your way.

Continued prayers my friend. Hope that you are feeling much better now! I hate to see you and others suffer. Rest easy and take care. I have had severe lung pain and shortness of breath, but it was because of pulmonary embolisms and not pleurisy. So glad that it isn't pulmonary embolisms. I waited four days to go to the emergency room even with my extremely difficult health. God was definitely was watching over me and keeping me alive.

So sorry you’re in so much pain and so sorry for Peter to have to watch you go thru that :( I am sure that is so scary to be in so much pain from simply breathing. Said a prayer for you both. By the way, you looked beautiful in the car on the way. Love your adorable freckles.
