I had a dog called shark, it was a nightmare at the beach though,everytime I shouted him people would run from the water..great stuff as always john,wait till the young un gets his first shark.

I do enjoy fishing in Autumn but it does make me a little sad about the hard weather we have to come. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Another amazing download from start to finish, starting with a stunning morning to the Dolphins round the boat, so even before I got to the actual shark fishing I had been highly entertained. Then some incredible action with the sharks, broken up with a lovely Gurnard, Octopus and a nice whiting. What better way to start the week than with a fish locker video. Thanks for posting.

John, if you happen to see this, could you link me to any of your vids where you do catch a Porbeagle, please. As a kid, of perhaps 4 or 5, we were on holiday and visited Appledore. Whilst walking along the harbour, we stopped by one of the boats which had just come in, and the skipper had caught a Porbeagle. Seeing my awestruck expression, he asked would I like some teeth. I was an extremely shy kid, so probably hid behind my dads legs whilst saying an excited, "Yes, please!" He cut me a two-inch section which has skin and rows of teeth, from front to back. Still have the teeth, set in the skin, and they are still razor sharp, and that would have been around 1975 - 1976! Would LOVE to see you catch one! Ooooooh, and a Tope, I have always really wanted to catch a Tope, what a gorgeous looking animal! Thanks, mate. 👍

Hello there John! Because of you, I made scallops for the first time for my family. As a teen with not much cooking experience, the scallops weren’t over and undercooked and tasted great. Thank you for introducing me to them!

Scallops are my all time favorite seafood. If you can't get them fresh, definitely look for "dry packed". They're frozen but won't release a bunch of liquid in the pan, and sear and taste better than the frozen scallops without that label.

If we ever come off these dumb lockdown, vaccine mandates (it'll be a cold day in hell before I take that vaccine), I'd love to meet you and your lovely family, as you are such sweet people! I have no clue about fishing but I'd kill to spend a day like that on that boat with you just watching you catch these divine creatures, listen to your abundant knowledge and enjoy watching the coastline, sea, wildlife. Hello, our two girls (3 and 5) love your foraging and rock pooling videos. It almost became a daily thing after lunch, while having something nice, they ask me to watch your videos, keep talking about little sea creatures excitedly etc. Its so nice to watch! You would be really proud and happy about what you do if you could see them, so I wanted you to know that. Thank you, you inspired us to go to the sea more, the 5yr old even caught her first fish this Sunday. I love spending time on the water with them, just like you I guess. All your videos the last few months have been great to watch lad. .Been enjoying them a lot . The old guy my dad who was in the British navy 1936 to 1942 joined Neptune last month .He served on HMS Warspite . 1938 to end of 1941. Careful he does tug on your line on his way back to Prussia cove in Cornwall

The Fish Locker yes, I went in July 2020 targeting pollock from the North Rocky pier with a spinning rod. No luck (again) so swapped to a ground ledger bait set up (with prawn and sea bass tied on ) from Whitby CoOp and had two 👍 probably lost more tackle than it was worth but still had a great session !! I’m not bothered if I don’t catch, just love being there and soaking up the sea air 🤩👍

I’m not sure if they were Tope now from watching another of your videos of the Tope you caught!!🤣 they were definitely dogfish I caught, little buggers wrap around your arm and sand the hairs off !! But I’m not sure I have the correct species 👍

Dolphins will only eat fish they have stunned/killed while hunting. If you’re very lucky and they trust you they will take fish from your hand. Grew up in Portugal and they would do this with the guys on small fishing boats. Their echo location tells them there’s something metal/ foreign in a hook bait. Smartest creature apart from us in my opinion 😁

yes they nice but you guys shouldnt sail on top of them, they freak out, there's a protocol to approach dolphins and other cetaceans
