What better way to relax in the bath watching the fish lockers and Dan catching big fish on a lovely day, think it showed that you are used to fishing of the boat but Dan not or he not used to big fish great video love watching you catch fish and the way you talk to the fish till the next one take care

( I spent 14 years working in an ICU in Glasgow and to see a wee boy leaving was always a was big hit. As were other patients of course). Happy days to your extended family.

Cracking day there John... I know that patch of reef well always good eels on there... We were out that same set of small tides and lovely weather east of you had some great fishing also

Credit Dan with almost keeping up with you, a restful weekend? This beautifully filmed clip was exhausting to watch I bet Dan's arms felt like lead after that session. As you say even inland you can't beat watching the sunrise and on a flattish sea it looks awesome. Thanks for posting yet another great video. I think I have only seen ling used in fishcakes I would love to see what Spiros kitchen does with them.

Awesome video cobber brings back memories fishing Hastings beaches and old pier in my teens caught many conger my best was a 64 pounder the old guy who looked after club boats ate conger my dad ate them as cutlets or fillet. Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick

Great video! Can you imagine, I was at the beach yesterday and didn´t wet a line! Tide times were aweful! Full afternoon sun, falling tide on shallow beach. High tide was silly o´clock in the morning and my missus would not be too happy by my banging about getting my gear together :-( This coming weekend we are off for a proper weekend of ONLY fishing! Cannot wait! :-)

Hi John That was a cracking good video buddy, fish on fish on fish, 2 lovely ling and a couple of sizeable conger, i think Dan needed a whole box of weetabix to deal with that lot, im knackered just watching. Excellent video John. It's been about 30 year since I had a good day on the congers . Also about 35 year since I caught a lead weight on side of the eye due to a conger spinning off the gaff. You soon learn to watch that lead. What's next ???.

Awesome weather, could have done with more like that in the summer lol, notice you guys don't use but pads for large fish, remember catching a 90lb plus conger on a stand up 30lb ugly stick and pen special senator it did 3 runs from near surface to close to the bottom, so glad I had a but pad on think it would have pulled my arms off without the but pad , conger can be great fun , again great video.
