I'm actually knitting a completely different pattern, but your tutorial explained a part that showed me how to complete my sweater (It's in the Viking Knits, Breeze Sweater). The part I'm referring to is the 3, 2, 1, 1 decreases to shape the neck. The explanation in the pattern was not clear to me but seeing you do it, I now understand what I'm supposed to do. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for posting this. I was following a pattern that had minimal instructions, and I was not getting the desired results for knitting the sweater as written. Based on your tutorial it is clear that my pattern was missing some important information. Thanks to you I am able to finish my sweater with better guidance.

Hi! Thanks so much for that very nice and easy to follow video on shaping the neckline! There's almost nothing on shaping the neck on a bottom up sweater out there. I'm just wondering. Instead of casting the stitches of along the way when you knit back and forth, could you also just put those stitches on the cable you used for the front neckline? Like, just adding them to those so you don't have to pick them up again?

Love your pattern and I was wondering how do you know where to cast off for the neck opening ?

Hi! If this is not stated in the pattern I do this: I find measurement for how long my sweater will be from bottom to shoulder when finished. Then I find another sweater I already have and measure how many cm before full length the neckopening starts. If this is 3 cm, I start casting off 3 cm before the sweater I knit has full length. Hope this helps =)

Hi there! Just discovered your videos, I have to learn your purling technique. Mine makes my hands sore after purling a long while. The reason I am posting is, would you please post a video knitting a raglan sweater from the top -down? I find that the necklines of many sweaters are too wide. How would I start a raglan sweater with your neckline? Thank you!

Hi! You are very welcome! If you want this shape in both the back and the front, you knit back and forward over the shoulders only and cast off stitches in the back the same way as in the front =)
