Hi Sheila! Thank you for sharing this. I use to think that raglan meant it was worked from the top down(in the round). As I was going through some of my magazines I realized it was the shaping that made it a raglan. 😍🤗

Hello Sheila, thank you so much for this clear explanation.... I'm basically starting to knit again after a bleed on the brain and I'm making a cardigan with raglan sleeves. However, I've gone seriously wrong as I didn't understand the pattern and I've been decreasing on every row!!!! Very disheartened.

Thanks sheila for showing a different way I've been doing for raglan armhole moss jumper knit1 slip 2onto rt needle then knit 2 tog. Then at the end of 3 St. knit 2 tog then knit 1. Is this way ok still for moss? or your way better? Yours looks neater and easier to see stitches.

you can knit any number of sts before the dec Donna, sometimes i K1, S1, PSSO and at the end i K2 Tog, K1 or you can knit 2 sts before the dec your choice is what you make of it

Hi Sheila, thank you for your video. I am new to knitting, my patter says to cast off 6 Sts in pattern at beginning of next 2 rows. Do I do this at both ends. I am shapping the arm holes. Thanks Joy

Yes Ngozi that is what you do, cast off 6sts beg of the row, knit to the end of the row turn and cast off 6 sts at the beg of the next row ..

Hello Sheila, I have a few questions. My pattern says " continue the double moss St. pattern throughout, incorporating dec. and inc. into pattern. Continue to work appropriate row of cable pattern." 1) my cable rows end at row 15, how do I know what to do for the rest of the rows as I have to get to row 40. 2) does the increasing and decreasing come when I have gotten to the 40th row? Thank you

The shaping depends whether it is raglan or set-in sleeves, if normal raglan you would cast off a number of stitches at beg of next 2 rows then knit 1, slip 1, knit 1, psso and continue in pattern to last 3 sts, then knit 2 sts together, knit 1, next row purl 2 sts beg and end of row and pattern in between those sts, carry on this way as you follow the pattern to the top.🤗
