    Hi. This is wonderful and exactly what I was looking for. (bottom up raglan in rounds) Thank you so much for sharing !!!! I'm trying to adjust this to an adult size to fit myself. Do you have a way of figuring out how many stiches my arms should have before joining the body and start raglan decrease???

  • @bergofnorway

    @bergofnorway

    Hi! Great to hear that the video is helpful! I would either find a pattern with right measurements and gauge and see what stitch number have been used there. Or, measure a sweater you already have around the part of the sleevethat connects to the body. Say the sleeve measures 40 cm around and you knit with 22 sts per 10 cm. 40 x2,2 is 88 sts. In that case you need 88 sts. Hope this helps!

    Thanks for this tutorial. I'm knitting a bottom-up round-yoke sweater , but wanted to change to a raglan. I was not sure how to complete it, but your instructions make it so much easier than I expected. Since I am knitting an adult cardigan, would the raglan decreases change? From your instructions, I decrease 8 stitches every other round until I get to the desired stitch count. If I were to add short rows, would I add the short rows at the end of the raglan decreases or should I add them before this step. Thank you.

  • @bergofnorway

    @bergofnorway

    Hi! So happy that you like the video. It would still be 8 decreases per round. Are you thinking shortrows additional to the back and forward I do to make the neckline lower in front and higher in the back?? If so, I think maybe they could be added after =)

    I am currently attempting to knit a bottom up sweater that is in russian. I am at the part of decreasing stitches like you are showing us here but am unsure what the terms mean in English. I assume it is a similar method to what you are making here? For context I am making a teddy sweater to learn bottom up knitting so is smaller. The terms I am unaware of what they mean in English are: 1 протяжка (What does this mean in English knitting terms?) 2 вм. лиц (And this as well) Here is the step I am finding these terms in. Соединительный ряд (ЛС): набрать 2 п. в начале ряда и провязать их, 25 лиц., 2 вм. лиц., поместить маркер, присоединить рукав (можно продолжить вязание той же нитью, что и спинку), 1 протяжка, 25 лиц., 2 вм. лиц, I would appreciate the help since I am so close to learning this fabulous technique ! I believe it is similar to how you decrease here :) as you add the sleeve. My project is knitted flat so you start at the middle back since we sew up the back by hand later.
