KD a guest in another man's house. A very special guest, but still a guest.

Aside from all the points made, Steph is more marketable than KD. Plain and simple. It doesn't matter what team he's on. There's a reason why you see him on practicaly every cover of a magazine, commercials and making guest appearances on various TV programs. He's got charisma, he's a family man, he's a pretty boy, his wife is well known, just to name a few. He has more to him than just being good at basketball.

Warriors fans see Steph the same way Bulls fans saw D-Rose when he was still in Chicago, and maybe even more strongly than that. Steph has been through everything with that franchise, from being a 26-56 team his rookie season to his first set of ankle injuries, getting surgery, then playing 26 games in the lockout season, then more surgery, then getting knocked out by the Spurs in the Conference Semifinals, then getting knocked out by the Clippers in the First Round the following year and battling through all of that, setting the tone for the way that team plays and interacts with each other until they won a championship. Steph is everything that people love about the Warriors, he's fun, quirky almost, plays the game a totally different way to how it's been played for so long and because of his entertaining nature, his teammates have bought into how the Warriors franchise wants to play basketball. Right now, Steph is the Warriors, KD is just a superstar, it's not ignorance to say that so KD needs to back up off Ol' Shay Sharpe a bit.

@@eamcbmsc Well you gave me a good example, you are an ignorant about who I am or where I am from, that's not an insult, it's a fact. Being ignorant is just the lack of knowledge about something and we all are ignorant about most things. Shanon was in fact being an ignorant when he said that, because I think that to know that you should at least go see how is KD treated in the streets of the Bay Area, when he is in any event, wherever outside the court, that's almost the most important place where love is shown and Shanon doesn't know about that situation, therefore he's ignorant about it.

If KD got traded, Warriors fans wouldn’t care too much. If Steph gets traded, there’d be riots

Yeah but Mourning is a different comparison because Lebron left in his prime when he was the best player in the World and Mourning wasn't a part of that Big 3 era. Shannon was right with the D-Wade comparison. D-Wade in Miami is what Steph is in The Bay and what Dirk is in Dallas. Wade is like that "homegrown", was drafted in Miami guy much the same as that being the case with what Steph is on the Warriors. Wade dragged the Heat to a Championship in 06, won MVP and will always get the love for that. Had it not been for the recognition that Iggy got for the defence he played on Lebron, Curry probably would have gotten MVP for their first Championship as well. He top scored in 5 of their games and had the most assists in 3 of them, so was potentially their most influential player. Lebron came in and the Heat won 2 more Championships, as (so far) has KD with the Warriors. Lebron & KD are potentially the better players in those respective scenarios but Wade & Steph rode through everything with those franchises and led them to wins before Lebron & KD arrived so the comparison Shannon made is perfect. I do agree with you though, that the feeling towards KD would be very different if he'd have stayed in OKC, although I feel as if him & Russ were always viewed as a tandem rather than 1 or the other. KD has pretty much always been the better player but Russ has always been the driving force and the passionate energy in OKC, so even then I still feel like the love for Russ may have outweighed KD even if he had stayed, but the difference between them wouldn't have been as big as it is between Steph & KD.

@@mrhoopfan1 my comment about Russ wasn't comparing them as players, I was comparing what they mean to the fans. Russ is the energy on that OKC team and always has been, he is the lifeblood of that organisation. I'm not saying he's a better player then KD or more important in terms of within a roster, but in terms of what he means to the OKC fans, even if KD had stayed there, I think Russ just has that same something about him with those OKC fans that Wade has with the fans in Miami, Dirk has in Dallas, D-Rose had in Chicago, Steph has in The Bay Area. I'm just not sure that even KD had with the OKC fans when he was there, as much as they loved him and appreciated him, I just don't think his connection has ever been the same as Russ's.

I remember when KD was still on OKC, russ passed to KD and he made a shot and the commentator said "That's not a bad second option to pass it to" or something like that. OKC don't deserve him. They were too dumb to appreciate what his talent was then and they still are now.
