Medhin , I have watched the full interview and I have nothing but admiration for the good work you have done shinning light on one the top level genocide perpetrators in the Tigray war. The chorus of condemnation you are getting is wrong and you must not feel guilty about the good work you have done confronting Yohannes about his crimes. You asked robust questions. Yohannes had no choice but to obfuscate , retreat and distract from the issues raised about his murderous role. You are not responsible for Yohannes's denial of the crimes he committed. You did not let him get away with any lies as far as I can remember. That is a mark of able journalism. Keep your head up and feel no shame whatsoever about your interview. Interviewing a genocider is journalism. People who say you gave Yohannes platform to put out his point of view are wholly misguided. You had complete control and he was only allowed to respond to your questions. Whatever he said , he only said to deny his crimes. And that is to be expected. He repeatedly missed the opportunities he got to regret his appling crime. But that is his own fault and none yours. By giving him a chance to publicly renounce himself and his involvement in the Tigray Genocide , you clearly showed how he was truly rotten to his inner core and a criminal yet to reconcile with himself. I say keep on doing the good journalism you have done on this occasion. I would however have gone with a more self expository headline that showed Yohannes's denial. For example something like Genocide suspect Yohannes G. Meskel has no regrets or something like that.
