@@BoltsNBoost I got my Forester recently and drained the ATF from the pad only so far, the filter is not touched yet. I drained around 2l from the pan only. People say that it should be around 4qts drained. Your 3.5l are around 4qts, but my 2l drained too less. I tried 100s of times to check the level but I have difficulties with the readings. When I pull out the dipstick, I see that the fluid is smeared on the dipstick and I see the fluid sometimes below "hot max" some times far above. There was not a single time I got a clear reading, maybe because of the long dipstick tube where the dipstick touches the walls on the way out or touches some hoses outside, on the way to me. Added more fluid to 3.7l and the fluid is all over the dipstick, way far from the max hot point. I read somewhere that 4EAT pan is designed to hold 4Qts, so 4Qts should be in there, but why I drained 2l only. My mind is blowing with how much fluid I should fill in. What would you advise? Thank you!
