SETTING UP THE ELECRAFT K4 MICROPHONE / HOW TO SETUP K4 MICROPHONE
Setting up the Elecraft K4 microphone makes it work with the microphone you have. There are just a few settings that need attention.
This video covers the setting you need to get you started, wheather you are using a electret or dynamic element, if it has buttons, or if it need a preamp.
The Elecraft K4 is set up in many ways to be highly customizable to the user.

What mic are you using on your K4?And what type of mic desktop or a boom mic?

I use the Electro-voice RE320, I have used the Heil PR40 and PR781 boom mics. I have not used a desk microphone with the K4.
could you use the yaesu m100 desk mic with the k4

I am not familiar with the M100 Yaesu mic, I know the mic wiring would need to be changed. You can use Kenwood mics.

Can i use a yaesu mh - 26db without alltering pins 19/8/23

Both the K4 and mh-26 are 8 pins, not sure where you got pin 19 and 23 from. Kenwood and Elecraft are interchangeable for the most part, Yaesu has a different pinout. Pull up the pinout for both and rewire accordingly. Make sure the bias is off in K4.
