Honestly who invented the 40 hour work week? Why do we all agree to live this way?! Also why is it ok that the companies don’t pay for us to commute in? They should pay us for that!!

@@bunniewoodHenry Ford invented it and that was a reduction of hours. It was good and now we need another reduction to 30 or 25 hrs. PS: I wouldn't benefit from the commute pay, I work in home office. Still... 40 hrs is no longer appropriate for the time we are in.

Yes with the sleep. I’ve had 24/7 migraines for 20 years whilst working, raising kids and only getting 6-7 hours a night. During lockdowns I started getting 9.5 hours+ per night, like I needed as a teenager. Whilst I still have pain, aura and gut issues daily - I haven’t had a massive migraine in months! I’m still catching up, but prioritising my sleep is really helping me.

I know this is an older comment, but yes absolutely!! I have the same issues, I noticed that lack of sleep and large changes to my sleep schedule are probably my BIGGEST trigger for migraines. It's so hard, too, because I really struggle to fall asleep :( But people really tend to undervalue sleep in our hustle culture mindset world.

I never used to time block. But then I got a cousin and was trying to figure out how I need to use the weeks, said screw it and fully time blocked everywhere and everything I needed to be at. I’m a busy full time working mom of 3 (a teenager and two toddlers! With a husband who does not work a standard shift) By time blocking MY time in a week (cooking, chores, bath time and bed time routines, driving time to and from activities cause we live rural, EVERYTHING!) I truly got a picture of how little time I have to myself. This made me realize how much more deliberate I need/can be with my time without guilt. I had been moving through my days nebulously generally knowing I have 2 hours in most days unaccounted for, but physically seeing only two one hour blocks per day blew my mind!!! Also, made me feel validated in feeling overwhelmed and stretched thin!

I've tried to do this type of thing a few times, but always got overwhelmed at how full it made my schedule and it made me anxious. So while it's still overwhelming to see what you've done here, I like seeing a realistic schedule where it's also clear that as humans, we just don't get a lot of free time to ourselves. It really helped to see that a life full of "essentials" wasn't just a "me" thing.

I know this is an old comment, but she's made a video on biweekly schedules, and I think its incredibly helpful to recognize that we don't need to fit everything we want to do regularly into a one week timeframe. It's ok to spread things out over two weeks, or three weeks, or whatever time frame youd like to create for yourself, if one week is too small of a timeframe to schedule everything. That's something that's been very helpful for me, personally, and makes me feel like I have more breathing room

This is a really great idea. I did something similar early this year when I was setting my goals. I did an "ideal" month where I could plot housekeeping sked, social plans (date nights, visiting family, hanging out with friends), gym days, learning time. I don't like the 24u in any planner myself either, Am PM is just easier to read despite being from Europe XD I'm terrible with my sleep schedule. Some nights when I get in a deep focused/fixating state (due to my autism) I just stay in the flow until a certain step or until the entire thing is done. That can be drawing or organisation on my computer.. so.. I end up staying awake, losing track of time quite easily. And even if I went to bed on time.. there are nights I have trouble falling asleep, or wake up in the middle of the night for no reason. I too need 8-9 hours of sleep, 7 is the bare minimum any lower and I'll be braindead.
