When I'm out ADC trapping Beaver, I like to set 30 water sets the first day. So there is a trap for everybody, and no one has to wait in line. I hate waiting in line and so do Beaver. The quicker you get them out of there, the less get trap shy. The next day i set the dam and put in a few caster Mound sets. One time I got the whole family the first night trapping like this. My water sets are 2ft past the outside edge of the weed or lilly line. I catch more beaver in 4 to 6ft of water than I do on the bank...go figure. Your remark about saturated trapping reminded me of that. Face it, the more traps you use, the sooner you get done with the job.
