I agree with you Stu when it comes to being far away from everywhere and you tend to be as quiet as possible. I live in southwest Colorado in Telluride. I’m a corporate pilot and travel all over the country. Nowhere have I found as silent as the Rocky Mountains in winter. I do a lot of hiking and photography. We have natural hot springs scattered throughout the area and I like to hike up and relax. When it’s snowing it tends to get even more quit and you can hear the snow falling if it’s a frozen snow hitting the branches and ground. Glad to see you back making videos for your channel. Cheers to a successful rest of the season and Happy Holidays as well. 🦌🦃🦊🛶🇺🇸🏔️⛰️

Do a little of that boating and exploring myself. Some areas easy access from private property so best to find areas that can only access by boat. Have found old home places, and even some areas that were sunk in like maybe there was someone buried there. if you find old stone foundations for buildings, be careful. There are sometimes hand dug wells that can be hidden by brush and leaves, you can fall down into. You can lay creek stone on top of your wood stove and it will hold heat for a while longer even when the fire goes out. Don't use limestone. It can get hot and explode.

Good video,,, I can’t decide if I fully agree with your new format. I joined a few years ago when it was mostly trapping. I’ve been through boat builds, utility trailer/camper builds and your service truck/camper build,, I keep coming back to see what’s next. I do a lot of what you did today, float in winter and camp in winter along gravel bars. When my son was from about 6 to 16 or 17 we always made a one or two nite float between Christmas and New Years beside our summer float fishing and camping. I’m from SW MO and that time of year it can be mild or miserable cold. Two coldest nights we ever spent it got down to 5 degrees 2 nights in a row and never above 32 degrees in the day. I’m all in on that challenge of staying warm in cold weather if you ever want a partner for a trip. Most people to smart to go that time of year!!!!

Good video, can’t decide if I really am all in for your new format. Been subscribed for a few years, joined for trapping content but I’ve been through boat builds, utility trailer/camper build and service truck/camper build. Really enjoyed the Mississippi cat fishing, always wanted to try that. I keep coming back so,,,,, Fur prices suck so I get the idea of trying to broaden your viewership by doing some different things. I was lucky to be in the hey day of a good fur market in the 70’s, 80’s and even into the early 90’s. I’ve done a lot of winter floating/camping on gravel bars along the river. For about 10 years my son and I made an annual trip for 1-2 nites between Christmas and New Years. I’m in SW MO so that time of year it can be 30 degrees at nite or can be miserable cold. We spent 2 nites one year when it was 5 degrees at nite never above freezing during the day. I still enjoy going this time of year but mainly have to go by myself, son is now in Oregon. Grandsons go in summer with me but they think grandpa is crazy?? So if you ever need someone with some cards missing out of a full deck get ahold of me I’m always up for winter adventures!!! Keep shooting videos and I’ll probably keep watching!!!
