"He couldn't handle the pressure" isn't anything Jon Moxley ever implied in anything he said on any interview with anyone. WWE's bizarre backstage culture and crappy creative are the things he had issue with. He intentionally worked more matches than anybody else on the roster for two years straight. That's not something that someone who couldn't handle pressure would do.

There are two extreme ends to a swinging pendulum. One end is when people say WWE is absolutely sexist, or racist, or is a terrible company for not pushing wrestlers X Y Z's and calls wrestlers A B C as overrated and privileged. The other side is the stans saying WWE never does anything wrong, that the wrestlers are soft wht not. No one can deny that Ambrose was one of the most hard worked WWE star but the truth is this, neither parties knew what to do with each other. And Dean's new look didn't seem to help him at all honestly. Most fans who doesn't follow his wrestling career loved him for the jscket wearing badass goofy guy look, not the look of a guy who got released from prison with hair losses. Neither parties benefitted monetarily from this seperatioj. For WWE, it was a huge loss. For Ambrose, he got in a start up wrestling company that have to endure their second straight year through pandemic and low attendance. Atleast in WWE, he could have bounced back. Look at Kevin Owens, he was booked as cowardly heel in 2016, jobbing to Shane and Goldberg and now hes a main event player. It's all about timing.

The execution of the turn was perfect. The booking of the rivalry after was the shits. And I’m going to maintain that Ambrose in WWE was always going to be doomed as a heel. Rollins is a natural heel and does his best work being a prick. Ambrose is a natural tweener/face, and will do his best work unscripted getting to be himself. But WWE had to force a round peg into a square hole and try to force Ambrose as a heel, when he clearly had lost his love for the business at that point and needed a change of scenery.

That's how it should be done because a heel turn is supposed to be surprise right not a knowing thing it's a shocking moment for the crowd.
