Somehow true it's still the pipe Bomb that helped to get him over to where he still is today. He hasn't done anything on that level or above to back his reputation as a "top star" up.

How are you meant to deliver a consistent storyline and wrestling for six months to a year if you’ve been injured? It’s unfortunate he has picked up a few injuries but they aren’t his fault. Were people saying when edge returned that for ten years he’d been living off matches from 2010/11? It doesn’t make any sense. He hadn’t been in wrestling for close to a decade, returned and has picked up a few injuries. It happens. And to say he’s living off the pipe bomb is ludacris. Multiple time world champion across various wrestling promotions. Back to back money in the bank winner. The guy responsible for making wrestling cool when it was really stagnating in the early 2010s. Punk is a legend for far more reasons than the pipebomb.

It's sad that he has become more injury-prone, but you can't seriously say he isn't delivering great storylines. He's been in the Fed for six months doing just that, injured or not. Drew is a white-hot heel because of his intense, high-quality, and very believable feud with Punk - and they haven't even met in the ring one on one yet.
I will say I think Punk does a better job of just talking and making it *seem* like it’s just his unfiltered thoughts rolling out. Rock has the more theatric and explosive type promos, but they seem more premeditated.

There are a lot of truths being said here. Punk's return to WWE has so far been underwhelming for me but that isn't his fault really. He's injured. I'll judge once he's back which seems to be sooner rather than later. His time in AEW had some ups and downs but his feud with MJF so far is the greatest thing he did since returning to wrestling. His work with Drew is great, but I get people are exaggerating a bit.
