Love the reviews Ed, and pleasantly surprised by observations on your fuel consumption. I’ve been looking at the Stelvio Quadrifoglio. The ‘road testers’ report fuel consumption averaging in the low 20’s, but I’m very aware they’re using its performance to the max, eg. demonstrating its sound in Race Mode. Have you ever had the opportunity to drive the Stelvio QV, to compare?

I replaced mine with a glass mat battery. Well worth the extra for longevity and stop start.

33mpg 😎. In my Stelvio Quadrifoglio, I just about average low 20’s on a commute to work (21miles each way, motorway speed mostly, first few miles 40-50mph), and generally in N mode not Dynamic! Wouldn’t be with out it! Such a dream to drive, and still very unique on my Hertfordshire roads!

Have to say you’re bang on there I’m finding mine very thirsty I try to drive around in Advanced Economy now as soon as I want some proper fun my tank is empty 😢 Hopefully petrol is starting to get cheaper this year in UK 🤞

6 months in, low 20s, mainly local driving.

My QV has been pretty easy going on the maintenance so far, and super reliable I might add! I think in general you guys in the UK pay a lot more to have a car on the road than most other places? Btw, go for the Verde Montreal if you can! 🍀

Thank you for the video, that is one beautiful QV! Correction: It's been proven that 2022+ QV's do *NOT* come standard with Carbon Fiber roofs (at least in the US). If they are painted, they are metal. They are only CF if it is exposed as an add-on. Sadly.

Is this for 2022+ only? I have a 2021 with painted roof and it's definitely carbon and I am in the US of A

If you decide to go for the Verde Montreal QV I'd love to buy your 'current' one. I was looking for a blue one anyway and Missano ones with the right spec are impossible. Fingers crossed and keep up the great QV videos. Thanks Paul

It would be 'out of the frying pan and into the fire'. I know my car is sorted and the upgrades I've done (tyres, valve controller, CarPlay) are just the way I want it. I'll let you know if it's up for sale. I'm keeping my eye on GT3 prices right now, or maybe even a Ferrari California T.

We had a stelvio veloce till a farmer wrote it off. Hopefully collecting new one next week. One thing I would say is me and a friend didn’t have much good customer service from unity also pricing is at least £70+ different of a 30k miles service compared to Thames alfa in slough Great video very helpful as looking to get a Giulia QV for my self next year

It's funny but just like the car, the beauty of the colours also doesn't quite come across in photos and videos. The car looks stunning in "real life" and I couldn't believe how nice Montreal was in the showroom although I still prefer Etna but only just! Even that goldy colour Lipari Ochre is very nice in the metal. I guess if you get the design and shape of a car right it will be able to carry off any colour, even white. Can I add my vote for more QF content please!

@@Back_Road_Hero Funny you should mention the Alpine that was on my shortlist before I ordered a new Giulia. I test drove a Boxster GTS 4.0 and an Alpine GT and really loved the Alpine even though it's only a four-pot it sounds pretty good. I don't need four seats but the Giulia swung it as an all-round amazing package.

The QV is the better car of either. The A110 would only be an addition rather than replacement. But that would just be greedy. 😁

Quick question - i've just purchased a 2017 Giulia quad but not sure which warranty provider to go with! Can you recommend any good ones? have ALA been good for you?

I’ve not had a chance to claim yet but the RAC warranty that ALA sell is about one of the best going. However you never know until you have to claim. Just make sure that your services are up to date. Ed

I'm inheriting a 2 year warranty with MotorEasy but not sure if they are good hence why i'm on the hunt for a reputable provider as a back up...i think i'll go with ALA as they're competitive and will hopefully never have to find out if they are good or bad! It’s the ‘big stuff’ that matters. Forget the trivia. Engine and gearbox. The rest really doesn’t matter. 👍

How does the driving experience compare to a manual? I’ve never considered an auto until the Giulia. Also, is this car a long term keeper for you?

Yes it’s a long term car. I’ve just put 3 years warranty and servicing on it. The auto takes a little while to get used to it but once you do it’s easy just to let it do it’s thing. You can also use the paddles if you wish and the downshifts are met with throttle blips. Ed

Alfa covers maintenance is Europe? But in North America where is needed the most , it’s not available

My QV is coming up to its 3rd service, enquired with the dealer to extend the Alfa plan for 2yrs, cost around £1400, and for 3 yrs, just over 2k☹️ Alfa plans seem to have shot up.

Are you sure it’s the AlfaCare package and not the dealers own service package? Mine tried to sell me their own. Give Eliza an email at eliza.cartwright@stoneacre.co.uk and see what she says. That’s where I got mine. Please let me know what she says. I believe that you can also purchase it from the mopar website as well.

I’ve yet to confirm with dealer the exact price, as they said the vehicle reg has to be entered on the Alfa system close to the 3 year date. I did speak on a live chat with Alfa in Italy, they weren’t precise, but suggested around £1200 for 2yrs, and £2100 for 3years, so really doesn’t make much sense for the 3 year, taking into account the expensive belt service at year 4.

84k is a bit steep. I thought the carbon buckets were a free optional extra now.

You've got to stop doing this to me. First you had me on the cusp of buying a 3200 GT, now you're telling me a Giulia QV can be more economical than my Giulietta QV. Early Giulias are approaching my budget. Might need to chat with the wife. Luckily she also loves Alfas.
