I just realised I'm Samson lmao 😂 - just doesn't know how to play with them -takes it too little seriously sometimes, even we has time to play -socialize with chosen beings the way he looks at other dogs is so relatable ahaha he is a grown up dog with responsibilities and has no time to goof around. he just feels mature and ready to take responsibility of another being he feels close to.

@Elisabetta she does not claim she rescued the cat from a shelter once, and honestly there are a lot of purebreds in shelters. The video aint even about her rescuing the cat, it is about the dog that was depressed until they got the cat so i do not see how she portaits herself as some sort of savior. They are not „using“ their animals for selfish reasons, you have a service dog if you have spontaneous seizures or other medical issues. Working together with animals is how we domesticated them in the first place and quite frankly they are built to be companions for thousands of years, thats coexistence not slavery.

My dog is a cat person. After living with my aunt and him interacting with my cousin's dogs, he was basically sick of them, but prefered my cat when i found him as a kitten. My dog raised that kitten.

My cat prefers dogs.. pit bulls and boxers actually.. but sadly can’t have a dog right now :/. He really hates the stray cat that decided to move in recently but I think there’s hope :)

He looks like a LGD [livestock guardian] dog or cross. They are usually reserved and watch in a situation like a dog park. They bond very strongly with what ever they look after. In this case a kitten. They are used to mind free range chickens, and other stock. Even a Penguin colony. They are ancient breeds. Some in the group are Pyrenean [France], Maremma [Italian], Anatolian etc. They are ancient breeds developed along the Silk road to guard stock against predators such as wolves and bears.

@Gorgeous George - my spouse has been with his company for 36 years - started ground up. He's taking retirement and we're planning on rescuing a dog. My sister rescued a King Shepherd - _big_ with longer hair, and they get along great with their cats, and cats in general. They're high energy and love to be out, and so do I. Purr-fect match. So when the time comes, I'm going with Sis to get _my_ Shepherd

My dog Maxx is like that. But really HATES other dogs. We figure he was raised with a cat/s and got traumatized by other dogs as a puppy. Cleo has a beautiful face. The name fits Samson. I can see the joy in Samson with the open mouth and tongue hanging out. He loves caring for his sister cat. Beautiful.

This specific cat is a Scottish Fold. It will suffer worse and worse pain from arthritis due to its genetic defect its breeders forced upon it.

This is how my dog is, he is scared of other dogs and doesn’t know not to play with them. We have a cat that walked through our doggy door one day and they became best friends. They share a bed and play all the time now. It’s really cute seeing their friendship grow and see how my dog learns to become more playful

Service dogs and Search-and-Rescue dogs are trained not to be playful while on the job. To that end, you may sometimes see a service dog wearing a harness that says "Do Not Pet." I've helped train SAR dogs by "getting lost." If they're given something I've worn, they can sniff out my trail and find me miles away in the woods or mountains. They seem to understand that they have an important job. That's really sweet that Samson can play with Cleo. It makes sense. Playing with a kitten doesn't interfere with one's job. And giving Cleo a ride is both worlds in one! :-)

That's simply not true. I'd almost say it's the opposite but not all dogs are the same. Service dogs and other working dogs are dogs clearly need a separation from work and fun time. A service dog getting playful while crossing a busy road is a hazard for the handler and itself. A service dog who can't stop working (especially difficult for seizure alert dogs who have to work during night time) can suffer from exhaustion and burnout. Some people with diabetes give their dog to their family for a weekend every few weeks, so the dog can fully relax. The "Do not Pet" sign doesn't mean that the service dog doesn't play, it just means that it's really hard for service dogs - who have to be very sociable towards anything and anyone they encounter - to stay in service mode when random people can't keep their hands on themselves. When my service dog is on free time, he's super playful and rather wild (which is really fun to watch when we meet with the service dog school and all their other dogs). Being well behaved in every supermarket and public transport means a lot of obedience and staying alert. It's important to have time where his mind can wander and he can be a pet. A lot of working dogs are especially playful because their reward for doing their job is playtime.

@Loulou Bos well For someone who has had 5 service dogs, it’s surprising that you think this to be true.. Because it is not. You may think that because you don’t have your dog wear them for whatever reason , but most , in fact, do! Now Emotional support animals may not..(as they shouldn’t I don’t believe.. not certain about that though..).

@Loulou Bos I’m confused now because is that NOT the very thing being argued?? About wearing harnesses? My understanding was that emotional support animals do not and should not wear them but that mobility and other service dogs typically do?

Samson sounds like he has a Type-A personality - very serious and focused on work / achievement. Probably ideally suited to being a service dog. But just as stressed out as similar humans. I'm glad Cleo has enabled him to enjoy life and be happy.

When I see them , I see the world as I wish that it were .

That's how it is for kids who's parents make their whole lives about grades, but I'm really happy he found some furry friends to make him feel like normal happy doggo.

That is why change comes to our lives I believe, For instance, when someone loses a job, or something happens to make you move on. I truly believe we are placed where we need to be at different times of our life. It's not always easy, but if He ask you to go, you may hesitate to do it, so, things just happen. Your influence, just like this cat, can be of great value to someone, somewhere other then where you are now. You just never know who or what you may be helping or doing for someone else, even saving a life.
