The only thing I would add to the toolkit is a wrench set and wire cutters. What’s a girl without her tools? Gotta have ‘em!

Wow how you get all that in one bag is awesome.i pack some of that stuff.but not my drill.but some great ideas...
Hey there! Love watching 😊 you might find this idea helpful. Take an empty toilet paper roll, cover in contact paper for flair then fold up your power cords into it and it will contain those pesky cords. It works for ALL power cords. Use paper towel roll if you need larger. Have a great day!
HI Lulu Hope you are having a good day today. Thank you for your help and information
Brilliant! I’m saving this in my nomad file. As a woman I’d suggest adding a vice grip. Soooo many things are just too tight to unscrew. Especially if a man tightened it. Also maybe some plumbers tape - good for getting a good tight connection.
Lulu, I think the fuses are for the fuses in the main fuse box in your van. different color coded for different amps. like for A/C blower, interior lights, radio, etc. etc.. they very rarely ever blow, but nice to have spares if one should..
Great tool bag Miss Lu Lu❤️
So glad you made this informative video. I have watched many van tours and they will show where they keeep their tools, but not show a break down. Thanks!!
You are the Jill of many trades. I think it is wonderful that you know how to fix things. That should be a course in high school that everyone has to take.

Very interesting video, Lulu. I will take you up on helping when I see you down the road!!!❤
I have my toolbox at home, too. Plus a tote with hooks, screws, nails, sandpaper, felt pads, furniture markers, etc., etc... all the things for fine-tuning around the house. I love knowing I can fix things myself.
I definitely carry my tools with me also! And they stay locked up unless I’m using them. Thanks for the video.😊☕️😊
Lulu, you might want to consider adding wire to your tool box or a wire coat hanger. Either will help tie up a dropped muffler or other heavier objects.
@LulusWay64

that's way to ambitious for me. if I dropped a muffler, I would call AAA and have it taken away!! 😊

Don’t forget an extra key fob battery!
Really so great. I need me a tool bag and some more skills. I think I have a bit of a knack for figuring out how sh*t works, putting sh*t together, making homemade fixes for sh*t rather than tossing it. And, I enjoy it! I giggled at the end when you said that if we saw you on the road and we needed something fixed just to stop you and ask. I get this picture in my head of folks flagging you down on the highway just to get you to fix sh*t lol! Love it! ❤

I travel from sea to shining sea in my Buick Encore. Down in the spare tire well, I keep a set of tools. It as been priceless!!! Thinking I should add a few items now though :)
A rubber mallet that I also have. Called "the persuader!"
Nice collection of tools taking up very little space. I have mine in a compartment but really wish they were in a toolbag, backpack... something so I can just grab the bag and take it where I need it. My back storage area is seeing wear n tear and needs a remodel. Thank you
Nice tool kit!!!
Magnets? Wire cutters? Vice grip? Heather 🇨🇦
Truly informative and helpful
Charger for drill batteries?
I call mine my fix it bag. it has way more than just tools in it like yours
Yes, Lulu, you are prepared for emergencies, but I wouldn’t expect any less from you. You have a lot in that little bag.😂
Lulu Great Video….
Thanks for showing us and I’m so glad you’re able to help others with your skills. 😃👏🌸
You are so generous with your time and talents - thanks for another informative video!
Put your twine in a baggie to keep it neat.
Hi Lulu...I love your tool stash . I also carry spare headlight and brake light globes in a plastic screw top lid jar in case of emergency . And a pair of secateurs and gardening gloves if occasion arises to help a host friend with pruning shrubs etc in season . Carol you say is " a hoot and a half " ...so with you too ...that's " three hoots " and I say the " more the 📢 😉 merrier " Keep adding miles and smiles as you enjoy ( in joy ) life in sharing ....blessings 🙏🫶

@@LulusWay64 Lulu - Were you a teacher before you retired? Or maybe a nurse or a social worker? You seem to have natural talents that are after found in people in these professions. If you want to, would you share your story about your previous work life before you retired? Did you feel wicked burned out before you retired? I have a few more years to work before I can retire and I am so tired but I am also carrying around a lot of extra weight, which isn’t helping. The stories of your healthy living, weight loss, and van life are giving me hope that things can change and good things await. Thank you!

I believe it can be quite dangerous to drill holes in the sand. Sand is very unstable and this can cause a sudden formation of a sink hole.
@QAsession
3 күн бұрын
Digging deep and wide holes on sand near the shores of the ocean or even a lake are dangerous. There have been many fatalities when the holes cave in. However, many beach umbrellas come with an auger shaped base to facilitate inserting and stabilizing the pole at the beach. A flying umbrella can stab and kill someone...yes, it has happened. They also sell sand auger drill bits to bury umbrella poles. I haven't heard of any dangers presented by making a small hole for an umbrella.. At least not yet. I myself have an umbrella with an auger base. I love it. It makes life easier. I found your observation interesting.

@donnapecoraro3126 Many beach umbrellas come with auger bases to make digging them into the beach easy. My beach umbrella is like that.There are auger drill bits that you can use at the beach like in her video. Those kinds of holes are ok. The true danger is deep and wide holes. People, especially tourists from out of state, dont know the danger of digging in the sand when you're close to the shore (be it ocean or lake). Just this past February two siblings were buried alive while digging a hole at the beach. Sadly one of them died. Being at the beach is fun, you just need to stay safe by avoiding the dangers.

Lulu, doesn't your drill do the work for you when you are inserting different tips? You should be able to hold the tip and the end of the drill while pushing the button and it does all the work attaching or removing different tips. ?? Makes life easier for sure ☺️

I just got advice from my mechanic and I took some of it. he always says used vehicle nothing over 100K miles, and he high suggested a Chevy and not a Promaster. I got the Promaster with 83K miles, but not without paying him to thoroughly checking it out to tell me it's good. so
💚
Great video, what is that auger type thingy for your drill from, please? I don’t know what to call it but I always have my drill with me and it would be so easy to use to put tent stakes in.

Thank you, Lulu. This was so helpful. I'd like to know more about how the Tuck Tape is used. I'm not familiar with it. I have a roll of the aluminum butyl tape - is it something like that? I have pretty much everything you listed (though my screwdriver is a ratcheting one. So much easier on my old wrists) - now I just need to put 'em all together in one place. Do you also have a separate toolbox for mechanical repairs? Something like an air compressor, battery charger, socket wrenches, etc? I think I know more about the cosmetic repairs to the living space than I do about repairing anything mechanical -- and even that I don't know much about. I'd love to meet up with you some day so you can give me some in person advice -- if I can ever get this danged thing insured and on the road.
@LulusWay64
2 күн бұрын
hello Melanie!! the tuck tape is just like a plastic film tape so it's very thin (not thick like duct tape) but it's very strong. I wish they made it in different colors, I would love it in black and also white!! I do not have a tool box for mechanical repairs although I do carry an air compressor and a battery charger. anything other than dead battery or low tire pressure, I don't know how to handle and I really don't want to learn. I'll stick with AAA!! 😊
She must have been a girl scout back in the day. Gotta be prepared, right??
Did you pack the charger for your drill batteries?
@LulusWay64
3 күн бұрын
I usually take two full batteries and I've never done projects that big that I've drained them. but if that happens once and I'm stuck on the road with dead batteries, I'll include the charger in my bag (if I can fit it!!!) 😊
Do you carry a jump starter or a tire inflator or a torque wrench?

Oh, I thought you were supposed to obscure your license tag
@LulusWay64
3 күн бұрын
well, some find it necessary. I don't find it necessary. not once in my 65 years on this earth have I heard of somebody that knew somebody's license plate and used it for criminal activity. I live my life on "probability" rather than "possibility". anything is possible but I figure it's not very probable, so I don't bother!!! if that make sense! 😊
How do you handle dogs when you don't have one I was sitting on a pier and I asked the people putting their boat in the water if I was in the way. The large woman told me no but my dogs will be coming to sniff and lick you I said no thank you I'm allergic and I left. Why is it I'm like some kind of bush to explore to people who have dogs.😢 they let the dog come a half inch from you and sometimes pull it back when it stands and its hind legs in your face. If it's an off Leaf situation they feel sorry for the dog not you
@LulusWay64
2 күн бұрын
I don't enjoy off leash dogs myself and I would prefer to engage with someone's dog if I choose to, not because the dog is allowed to jump on me. but it is what it is, and I refuse to spend any of my life angry or resentful so I accept it, it's just how some people handle their dogs. it's not worth trying to change it. I'd rather be happy than right. 😊
