I understand weight issues. At my heaviest I was 453 ponds I’m now down to 162. It was a struggle however it was worth it. I’m 60 and a solo female trucker. I cook 99% of all the food I eat out here on the road. You have done an amazing job! Keep it up!

Well done you, that’s amazing. It’s not easy especially doing the job you do. My late husband was a trucker and an amazing man. I sometimes went with him on his journeys and know how hard it is to eat properly and get the right foods. Truck stops and fast foods etc. was the diet. So, well done. Keep up the good work, you’re amazing.

Wow! You are such an inspiration which is what I need in my life right now. I’m extremely obese but in 2021 I lost 100 lbs due to cancer and I said I would never put it back. But here it is 2023 and it’s all back. 😞 I’ve been trying to take it off again but it’s so difficult. I’m 70 but I’m determined not to give up! Your videos give me hope.

I clicked on your video so quickly because I saw that it was a woman of a particular age! I'm 46, and most of the weight loss video I see are by much younger women. I need to see more videos like this. I started my weight loss journey at about 203lbs, might have been more. I am currently at 173lbs and my goal is to get down to 123. My journey is extremely slow! It has taken me 2 years to get down to 173, I try not to compare my journey with that of other people, but it's hard sometimes. You have just gained a new subscriber!

hello!! so happy for you that you are on your journey to wellness!! if it's working for you, keep doing it!! if there are ways you could it better, more will be revealed!! I would say that comparing the RESULTS of your journey to others is not a good idea because we are all doing it different to achieve the results we want. does that make sense? so rather than comparing your results, I would keep looking at exactly what you are doing to achieve the goal you set, and if you are not happy with that, perhaps what you are doing needs a bit of tweaking. I'm happy you subscribed to my channel, I'm glad you are here, and I'm glad you are on the journey to a better you!! Lulu 💕

I enjoyed hearing your story and l love seeing someone who I probably went to school with.😂😂 Can you share what your eating plan is? I’ve tried them all including finishing the watermelon diet in August.. It was fun but it’s going to be hard to get Watermelons in the winter.😂 Thank you again.
In 2017 i LOST 185#, a little more than half of my weight. From the time I was born until she died, my mother was obsessed with her and my weight. After I was weaned, she started me on SKIM milk. I was a very tall child. At the end of 6th grade I was 5'10" and 154 pounds, broad soulders, size 10 feet, etc. BUT of course I was discustingly fat. In high school I grew to almost 6'1" and 170# and a doctor told me I should lose weight. I was an athelete etc.e tc. but I was disgustingly fat. This part is a lesson to parents to not put your kids on a diet or mention their weight. Any way I maintained the 2017 weight loss until the pandemic. Still I am trying again in my '70's. I wish you the best. Keep up the good effort.

hi Karen!! you did it before, you can do it again!! take good care of you. if not now, when? 😊
Hey, Lulu! Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey. I’ve struggled since my early teens. I thought I was ‘fat’; but looking back, I was in my perfect weight zone for my height of 5’ 8 1/2”. In 1969 I went to Mexico with the Girl Guides. I was 16, and weighed 133lbs, and I returned home weighing 131. All through high school I yo-yo’d and never went above 142-but I wasn’t eating healthy. After university I weighed 77 1/2 and went to Weight Watchers. I was on the same plan you followed-I still have my yellow coloured booklet. I lost 25 1/2 lbs and was just within my healthy weight zone. Unfortunately, I chose to stay on the plan and lose a few more lbs instead on going on maintenance. Big mistake! Long story, but ai ended up at 245 lbs in June 2020-partly due to indulging in unhealthy snacks when in isolation. I’m now down to 210ish, and am currently aiming to get to 160. I’m SO glad to have found your channel! I’m going to follow your plan-like the old WW plan-which worked for me in the 70s. I did try the points system years ago. Ridiculous system. It has nothing to do with preparing a person for life-long healthy eating regime. Thank you for sharing your journey. I’ve already watched a couple of your cooking/meal prep videos. They will be invaluable to my journey going forward! Keep chuggin’ and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦

Such a wonderful, heartfelt story, Lulu. Thank you for sharing. So many of us have eating issues. One of the things that has worked well for me is intermittent fasting. I love good food and could eat every waking hour! Giving myself an eating "window" and continuing to eat only healthy, home cooked and whole foods is the one plan that has worked long term for me. I was never a smoker, and I may have 2-3 drinks in a week, so I'm fortunate that way. I'll be 72 next birthday, and the reasons I watch my weight now are also different from when I was 30. It's a conscious spiritual choice to care for my physical body. Each of us is worth the very best we can give ourselves! 💖

I’m 5’2”, 53 yo, and ranged from 120 to 180. If I watch and measure what I eat closely and exercise regularly I can maintain my ideal weight (120-130). I felt my best at 120. If I let it slide for a month, I gain 10 lbs within a month. It’s frustrating. My downfall is stressful life events, sciatica, restaurant food, and adult beverages (when I have zero brainpower to maintain my diet and exercise routine when life becomes overwhelming). I’m starting over again with real food, yoga, and bike rides. I did it before, I can do it again. You are an inspiration.

Wow! I just knew there was a story there. Actually, our struggles mirror each other. I turned 60 in Jan. I've struggled since I was about 10. Up and down. A couple of years ago, I started losing yet again after reaching 200lbs. I said that's it. No more. I'm an even 5ft., so every ounce of excess shows on me. I lost 65lbs. I let my diet slide a while and very quickly put 15 back on. Now, I'm back on my diet. I am feeling better already, after only a couple of weeks. I am still having a struggle with cigarettes. The bane of my existence. I don't drink anymore. I just don't have a taste for my beloved glass of wine. So, I guess 2 outta 3 ain't too bad. I do have physical health issues, due to trauma from a car accident and an abusive marriage, but it can be handled(most days). Thank you, for sharing your experience. It's nice to know I'm not alone and as always, for being an excellent inspiration. Take care!

Great video Lulu. Your journey is so similar to mine and probably many others. And now I wake up knowing I am 10 lbs away from the top end of my weight range and I have the mindset to keep this nutrition plan going forever. And YOU are the inspiration for it. I saw how you ate and I thought that seems perfect. I do something’s different but not much. I am learning from you to put myself first. So I wanted to thank you for starting your channel and being so open with your nutrition, your lifestyle and being YOU!! Today I am grateful for you, Lulu. I am grateful you bought the same van as me so I found your channel. ❤❤❤❤ you have been such an inspiration and resource, so thank you!!!🙏🙏🙏

hi Sherry!! thanks for writing!! I will share about my spiritual journey at some point!! it's on the list!! 😊
This was truely an inspiring post. I will be turning 60 September 29th and still struggling (35over) with my weight. I always start my day strong but finish with a crash. I know I must remove all the sugar from my diet. I will try and keep you in mind and stay strong till the last hour of the day. Thank you for this post. You look amazing keep up the good work.

hi Christine!! giving up the sugar just makes it so much easier than to try to eat less of it. I've tried it both ways. none at all is so much more peaceful!! 😊
Hooray, good for you, Lulu!
Love this! Super simple! Thank you for sharing your story! 🤗🤗
Exercise is excellent for keeping weight off and building muscle. It’s impressive to hear your story, and to know that people can still lose substantial weight in their fifties!

the food plan I followed to lose weight is in the description box of this video. I still follow that food plan al these years later, with a few minor adjustment to stabilize/maintain my weight and stop weight loss.
Love your background with the sky and trees. Looks lovely. Enjoyed the vlog.
Thank you for sharing! Very inspirational and there was so much I could relate to .
A beautiful story, Lulu, of a woman unfolding into her wholeness. A lifelong journey.

Awesome video Lulu!! This is fabulous info, thanks so much for your generous nature of sharing what worked for you with all of us. I’m so grateful for your presence in my life. My yo-yoing weight most of my life has been rife with frustration. A quick glance over your straightforward simplified list seems very doable. I am blessing myself with a weigh in tomorrow and a new plan to set in action. Our fridge is very food low, so I can stock it with this plan in mind. Timing is amazing…I needed your story tonight to motivate me get off of this weight plateau that I’m stuck on. Our bodies have remembered weights where we have stayed for longer periods and find comfort in getting there again….the familiar zone…I’ve called it. Happily Moving Onward…. Cheers Lulu, Debbie ♥️🙂♥️

hey Debbie!! YOU GOT THIS!! let your body remember a new weight, a healthy weight. may you get in the zone and care for yourself well. how does this serve me? Lulu 😊
You are soooo inspirational! Thank you for your vulnerability, your persistence! Just love that you have moved from more superficial concerns to healthy concerns. Love your maturity of spirit and mind.
Lulu this was wonderful to watch because you are honest and open and sharing your weight struggle is so common and as we age it gets harder.
Slow but steady-I am losing. Weight loss for me has been a life time journey. I also realize its an "inside job". I am not their yet to be at maintenance but I can feel the changes, shifting of priorites, and self care. Thank you Lu Lu for sharing your story as it means a lot. You have broken it down into a Physical, spiritual and emotional journey. When i slow down enough to see why I want to take that next bite I find myself asking how much do I want to live a healthier life and how much do I love myself. Determined.❤ So grateful for your courage to talk about this topic.

hi Denise!! I'm thrilled to hear about your journey and how you are looking with in and asking yourself those tough questions!! ❤️❤️
Congratulations Lulu! I commend you! I love your story. Thank you for sharing! Your story is a mirror of mine without the smoking and drinking. I tried everything, the latest was the Keto and a couple of personal trainers. None helped me get past a certain number, and I felt horrible. I sat myself down, evaluated my whole existence and decided to go back to basics and your meal plan that you shared, is very similar to mine. I am slowly, but steadily losing weight and feeling the best ever. The funny thing is, I am now an able-wheelchair user due to arthritis growing on the inside of my spinal column, and I am still losing weight and my mobility and pain control are at their best!

Awesome Testimony Lulu, thanks for sharing❤
Awesome, honest, video. Thank you Lulu. I am in a similar situation and I’m tired of this roller coaster weight and life situation. Your plan of losing weight is the first one I have seen that makes sense. I’m going to give it a go. Thanks again.
Thank you for sharing your weight loss story. I know that it will make a difference to many people and perhaps give them the opportunity to do the same for themselves. I have struggles with my weight my whole life and it has caused me many health issues and emotional issues. My father was an alcoholic so I never wanted to drink and become like him. Food was my drug of choice. I too went to Weight Watchers which worked well the first time. I never did well the other times I went. I am now 81 and really can see what this weight has done to my life and my body. I do what I can and have decided to have that be okay for me now. I am done wishing it was something else and not making it happen. Thank you as always for your kind words and non judgment of others.

hi Sally!! as long as you are happy with your decision to have that be okay for you now, then that's okay. because we all just want to feel OK. 🙏
I know it sounds cliché, but thank you so much for sharing. You heartfelt testimonial is such an inspiration! Can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I needed these words as I am midway through a successful weight loss journey (again) myself at the moment (at 70). Your resolve has led to such health and happiness for you. It requires guts to really look into the mirror and ask those hard questions-- and then take the steps and action required. Bravo, Lulu.
